Wow! 2016 was quite the year! While the country as a whole saw some struggle, sadness and lots of change, the Paris household most definitely had lots of celebrations and plenty of travel. While looking back at your favorite posts from 2016, I saw some that I planned for a long time as well as ones I did at the request of my son. What a surprise and a drive down memory lane it was to see them all… which ones were your favorite? You can find the top posts from 2015, too!
My Frobscottle and Snozzcumber Recipe was born from reading The BFG with my son. It was his first read-aloud chapter book, and while he didn’t always have the patience to knock out a chapter, he was enchanted with the magic of the book. We made Frobscottle and Snozzcumbers in the kitchen together, and tricked Daddy into eating them. It was loads of fun. Find the recipes here!
Did you know how to cut Flank Steak? I didn’t know how many people needed help to find that pesky grain. Either way, y’all visited this post a bunch. You little meat eaters, you!
Ahhh, Coffee. My new-time love. I was overjoyed to start drinking my morning cup after Scarlett and I stopped breastfeeding. I was so happy that I created a free printable about coffee to decorate your morning cuppa joe nook. Check out my But First, Coffee Printable.
Did you see the Force Awakens? My son was all over it, as our resident Star Wars fan, so I featured this Kylo Ren Cocktail for your intergalactic celebrations.
I finally did it. I got Adult Braces in the late spring, and I can already see them starting to work. In fact, two other friends of mine pulled the trigger and got braces, too. It was like a waterfall of self-care!
One of my most favorite posts (series, really!) was my Kitchen Makeover with cabinet refacing sponsored by The Home Depot. Our kitchen changed so dramatically, I barely recognized it! What do you think the biggest change was?
And what would my year be without a giant dose of Disney? No year at all! In April, I sprung (at my Mom’s suggestion) for the Best Disney Souvenir I ever bought. Lots of y’all agreed, too, and showed me yours!
My Mom’s Banana Pudding Recipe is to die for. My husband claimed he didn’t like banana pudding… until he tried hers. Now he’s a convert for her and only her recipe… which you can now have!
I faced a lot of weird questions when I had a redheaded boy. But when my daughter was born a brunette to a blond and a redhead, it drew even stranger comments… Like “But Your OTHER Baby Doesn’t Have Red Hair!“
One of the more recent posts I wrote, as well as my son’s favorite was What to Expect From Jedi Training. During our extended family trip to Walt Disney World Resort this year, we signed him up in Hollywood Studios and learned a lot. Since I love to share all things Disney, this experience was no exception!
