Wow! I did a really good job snapping shots of me and the kids this week! The last few weeks (month?!) I’ve been scraping shots together or have none at all to share. Scarlett attended her first historical heritage meeting (I’ve traced my heritage back to good ol’ Wm. Shakespeare!) and was bored to tears. Many naps were had moments after our arrival.
Back at the homestead, Red and I got some major snuggling in while Scarlett took yet another snooze. He’s been angling big time for some one on one time, so I’m sitting my giant preschooler in my lap as much as I can, and caving to bedtime snuggles a few nights a week. I make sure to focus on him when he asks a question, but make sure that he understands he’s not the only needy one in the house! This balance is still proving a struggle for me, but I’m learning how to tackle it a little more each week.
And the sleep training.. ohhhh the sleep training. That’s another post in itself, but when this tiny terror finally falls asleep on her own, I am one happy Mama.
And speaking of that Mama and Red (Mommy & me) time, here’s what we’ve been working on little by little since Christmas. a 940 piece LEGO set called Benny’s Spaceship from the LEGO movie. I scored it for only $54! It took us seven sit-down sessions to complete the major aircraft, plus five mini figures and 3 little spaceships, but Red loves it! We’re definitely a LEGO household now!
