Today was Red’s first day of Pre-School! We’ve been ramping up over the last week or two with our 10 Ways to Get Ready for the First Day of School as well as cramming all of our summer fun into this past weekend. We made sure to take some pre-school photos with the chalkboard sign I made. For some photos I had lots of cooperation, and others, not so much. Either way, most turned out super cute. Do you try to get perfect photos, or do you just roll with it I like did? I find that sometimes your outtakes can be pretty darn cute and capture some personality!
That genuine smile is too sweet for me! Be still my heart! When I picked Red up from his first day, he was so happy and immediately asked to go back to school (Let’s hope that his enthusiasm doesn’t fade)! Red had a nap, played with blocks, used the potty (TMI, sorry…), listened during storytime and learned (and RETAINED!) two pieces of sign language. The electronic teacher-parent conversation form has been so wonderful and I am so grateful that we chose the school we did.
I can’t wait to see what his second day brings!
It makes me so sad that summer is almost over for us too! It looks like you guys had a great weekend!
I am looking forward to more structured days. Now, my kids wake when they want and we don’t have any real set schedule. I thrive off of routine, so I am actually looking forward to back to school!
Cute! I can’t believe it’s already that time. It seems like summer just started.
I’m SOOOOOOOOO not ready for Kindergarten yet! I need to take my son for some ice cream before we go too 🙂
I’m not looking forward to any of it (enter tears here, lol). I love that the kids are learning. I miss them when they’re not home.
Super cute pictures! You did a great job!
Yikes you guys start early, we have a few more weeks and I’m already stressed about cramming a bunch of fun in 🙂
That sounds like a wonderful weekend. We have 20 more days before school starts here, I still have to do our annual trip to York Beach in Maine, another day trip to Hampton Beach, NH has been requested by the kiddos and have a double bday party for the boys! So much to do this month
So adorable!
can you believe it’s here already. Ours start in three weeks
It looks like you had a great time! I think I crave a little more routine even though I will miss my girls when they are at school.
Looks like such fun! I’m looking forward to having my full work days back once school starts back up. I never seem to get enough done over the summer!
I know the feeling! My little girl already started Kindergarten in a summer program they run. We have less than a week between to cram before real school starts!
Adorable pictures! I’m glad you all had such a good time!
I can’t believe that it’s already time for school at start! I feel like they just got out!!!
I can’t believe he is off to school already! What a fun summer, right?
School does not start here for a number of weeks. It looks like you guys had a great time with your family outing!
Schools start after Labor Day in Wisconsin ~ I would hate to have the kids start before Labor Day ~ that would be icky
The kids haven’t started school here yet. They’re looking forward to it.
School does not start until after labor day here. My big girl starts college in about 4 days though. AAAAAAAAAAhhhhhhhhh!
We start soon, and I’m not anywhere near ready for it!! So nervous! I love the circle pictures – did you use an photo editor to make it look like that?
Oh hard to believe time went by so fast. Back to school we go!
First of all I want to say, you have the cutest little boy in the world. OMG I just want to pinch his cute cheeks. What a doll eating the ice-cream. I am glad you got to enjoy these moments before school starts.
Lovely pictures, looks like fun! Cant believe its already almost school time!
