Red’s First Day of Pre-school

Today was Red’s first day of Pre-School! We’ve been ramping up over the last week or two with our 10 Ways to Get Ready for the First Day of School as well as cramming all of our summer fun into this past weekend.  We made sure to take some pre-school photos with the chalkboard sign I made.  For some photos I had lots of cooperation, and others, not so much.   Either way, most turned out super cute.  Do you try to get perfect photos, or do you just roll with it I like did? I find that sometimes your outtakes can be pretty darn cute and capture some personality!
That genuine smile is too sweet for me!  Be still my heart!  When I picked Red up from his first day, he was so happy and immediately asked to go back to school (Let’s hope that his enthusiasm doesn’t fade)! Red had a nap, played with blocks, used the potty (TMI, sorry…),  listened during storytime and learned (and RETAINED!) two pieces of sign language.  The electronic teacher-parent conversation form has been so wonderful and I am so grateful that we chose the school we did.
I can’t wait to see what his second day brings!

I am looking forward to more structured days. Now, my kids wake when they want and we don’t have any real set schedule. I thrive off of routine, so I am actually looking forward to back to school!

I’m not looking forward to any of it (enter tears here, lol). I love that the kids are learning. I miss them when they’re not home.

That sounds like a wonderful weekend. We have 20 more days before school starts here, I still have to do our annual trip to York Beach in Maine, another day trip to Hampton Beach, NH has been requested by the kiddos and have a double bday party for the boys! So much to do this month

I know the feeling! My little girl already started Kindergarten in a summer program they run. We have less than a week between to cram before real school starts!

First of all I want to say, you have the cutest little boy in the world. OMG I just want to pinch his cute cheeks. What a doll eating the ice-cream. I am glad you got to enjoy these moments before school starts.
