Last weekend I had the great pleasure of a quick 2 day trip to Cincinnati Ohio with Proctor and Gamble. I stayed in the incredibly luxurious, well above my pay-grade, fashionable and comfortable 21c Museum Hotel. The hotel is a complete work of art, featuring modern works in every niche, and making art comfortable. The hotel did not compensate me for a post, but the visual design of the room is something I really wanted to share!
You’ll see the bright yellow penguin above – they are 3′ tall hollow fiberglass statues that live in the hotel – there are 80 of them that guests reposition and have fun with. I really wanted to take one home!. A few girls and I nicknamed him “Peeping Tom” since he was everywhere looking in on everyone!
21c did a fabulous job keeping the room artful, posh and still comfortable. If anyone ever sees one of these chicken pillows, I need it! Too funky!
The best part of the room? The shower!! Check out the custom tiles – they are body parts! After a brief survey of the other bloggers, we found out that other showers had noses, collarbones, ears and the parts you see below. I would absolutely tile my guest room shower like this. A weird, funky statement piece that really speaks to you! I LOVE it!
