Disney’s Beach Club Resort Review

I am one lucky duck. I’ve been to Walt Disney World THREE times this year, and one of those visit I was able to run runDisney races with my brother, who’s stationed with the Coast Guard in Alaska!  But while I’m compiling photos from my 2016 Princess Half, my 2016 Star Wars races and my very first #DisneySMMC trip, I had the pleasure to stay in a new (to me) hotel.  On my past WDW vacations, I’ve stayed in value resorts like All-Star Movies, the Disney Vacation Club portion of Old Key West Resort and even The Yacht Club during Red’s first trip to the Magic Kingdom.  The conference put my family up in Disney’s Beach Club Resort, and while it’s next door to the Yacht Club Resort and  convention center, it was different enough to elicit a new response!  This is my Beach Club Resort Review, from me to you!

A Full Review of Disney's Beach Club Resort, in Walt Disney World Resort, Orlando Florida

The Beach Club and the Yacht club share a conference center, nestled between the two of them, and only 1-2 blocks away from each front door.  It’s spacious, themed, and perfectly suited to both corporate events as well as large private parties. Walt Disney World's Beach Club Resort, close to Epcot, Boardwalk and Hollywood Studios Disney Social Media Moms 2016 was hosted at Walt Disney World's Yacht Club Convention Center

When you first check in to the hotel, (I highly recommend taking Disney’s Magical Express) you’ll find the lobby in and to the right.  If you turn to the right, you’ll find the concierge.  Make sure to trade some pins with the captain at the front door (the permanent greeter I like to trade pins with!) and utilize the kid’s area while you spend some time with the front desk.

Checkin is a breeze. Make sure to trade pins and use the kid's area.

There are extra special Disney touches everywhere you look, from Ariel greeting the DVC members/renters and hidden Mickeys in the carpets.  The old-fashioned “Woody” out front is open for photos and “driving!”

Details are not overlooked at the Beach Club Resort

One of the best parts about The Beach Club Resort is the proximity to the Marketplace.  This one-stop shop and dining area serves both the Yacht Club and Beach club, but is in the Beach Club area.  You can shop for souvenirs, family necessities, meals, wine, drinks, and snacks.

The Beach Club's Marketplace is a great place for quick service meals, souvenirs and snacks

The food is quick, fresh and counts towards your Quick Service meal options  if you are on the dining plan.  I visited the store TWICE for trading pins alone!

If you have little ones and would like to have a “date,” then the Sandcastle club is your best bet.  Located next to the Marketplace, you can drop your kids off (for a small fee) and let them play to their hearts content.  The open house was hosted for 30 minutes to let vacationers get a feel for the open play place that even Red couldn’t resist during his first trip last year..

Beach Club Resort Review: Sandcastle Club for Kid Care

The rooms in the Beach Club Resort are formatted exactly the same as the Yacht Club, but with a seashore theme and soft ocean pastels instead of yachts, ropes and nautical themes.  I loved it so much more than the other resort, though the differences were slight.

We had two full/queen beds with mousekeeping daily and plenty of space to move around.

The bathroom tiles were in great shape, and the separate water closet allowed someone else to use the sink area while another showered.

This is the sink area! 🙂 Hi!

Disney's Beach Club Resort Review

I would absolutely stay here again! With boats to Epcot and Hollywood Studios, the rest of the parks are a short bus ride away.  It was close to Disney Springs, and boasted many perks that are not as close to Yacht Club or the Boardwalk Resort.  For extra savings, try using some DVC points and the Beach Club Villas; I’ll do that next time!

I looks great! I bet they put me in the Yacht club because I didn’t have kids with me. The beach pool in the middle was my favorite though.

Oh my gosh, that is absolutely epic! That has to be one of the most posh Disney resorts I’ve seen to date! We are SO staying there next time!

This post made me smile! During the conference, it was our first time staying on Disney property and we had such a wonderful time at the beach club! It’s such a lovely resort in so many ways.

We stayed at the Yacht Club Resort this year, but I definitely want to check out the Beach Club Resort next time! I’ve been debating on taking a kid-free trip back to Disney World soon!

I love the look of the Beach Club Resor. Disney is so great about the little details at their parks and hotels.

We have stayed at a couple of Disney hotels. We were happy with both for different reasons. I am sure this resort is great. I don’t think Disney has a bad resort.

I’d be in heaven with 3 trips to Disney in a year! The resort looks amazing. We’ve only stayed in their budged resorts, but when hubby and I go back without the kids, I’d love to stay at one like the Beach Club Resort!

How fun for taking little one’s on a ‘date.’ Ha! I used to do that all of the time with my older kids to get some quality one on one time in. 🙂

I love when resorts are close to the marketplace. That’s where a lot of the fun starts! It stinks when they feel forever away, especially in a big city!

This marketplace is actually the store INSIDE the resort, but being close to the elevators was nice. The other resort’s guests have to walk to this one, and it’s not as convenient.
