Red is growing like a weed. By the time he was 6 months old, he was wearing 18 month clothes. By the time his first birthday rolled around, he was sporting a trim 2T. And now, as we approach the spring, his tshirts are fading from a 3T to a 4T. Where did my little baby go?
Due to the lovely time change we have been incurring, Red’s nap schedule has been a little off as he tried to acclimate to the new one. When Mom visited this weekend, he refused to nap, and instead had “quiet time” in his crib… which resulted in this before dinner:
A 45 minute snuggle nap which my Mom was ALL OVER. She was so happy, she glowed while she held the every one of the 32 + pounds. That’s when I really noticed how big he has gotten. Red has grown right out of our laps! When is the last time you got to hold your “baby”?
I try to hold my babies as often as they’ll let me. It’s much easier with my 8 mo. old. The three year old is a different story! lol It’s amazing how quickly they grow. I get all my snuggles in while I can!
I do a baby hold check at least once a month I ask my big kids if they want to be mommy baby and they see my pout and usually agree as long as I do it in the enclosure of our home….oh and they don’t want me to tell anyone about it either. They grow so fast *sigh*
haha – yes it’s much easier with the littles. Maybe he’ll still sit in my lap a year from now. Fingers crossed!
No kidding. Too fast…
This is a sweet picture. My babies are too big to be held but they still like to cuddle. They sit on my lap from tuner to time and hug me and crack up because I’m looking at them like they have lost it.
Cuddles are sweet no matter what the age! 🙂 I’m glad they still do that!
