Darla Disneybound from Finding Nemo

“I get a fishy! Fishy, fishy, fishy!

Fishy? Fishy! Wake up! Wake up!”

It’s that terror of a child that gets Nemo’s aquarium buddies into a tizzy. Fishbait is about to become his namesake when Darla enters the Dentist’s office. This Darla Disneybound is easy and clever. Since I had braces when I initially drafted this look, it was a no brainer of a villain to display. Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party was so much fun as this PIXAR kiddo. You may find some affiliate links below as you shop the essentials for Darla’s look. Have fun!Darla disneybound pin image

If you can’t quite remember who Darla is, she’s this little girl from Finding Nemo. She has braces, headgear, and a purple sweater over what we might surmise as a school uniform. The pieces come together easily and quickly with the help of Amazon Prime. Shop a few days before your Disney trip and you’re set. I did choose a short sleeve shirt because Florida is so darn hot… I would melt in long sleeves!

Essentials for the Darla Disneybound

Purple shirt and yellow plaid… these are the staples for Darla. Of course, if you don’t have a Nemo plush, you can always use a pool toy in a ziplock bag, or even an orange purse laced with white stripes and a sharpie. It’s easy to add magical touches to a plain accessory! Check out what I did to my leather purse for a Gus Gus bag!

Darla’s purple Rock N Roll Girl Tshirt: I think this logo is just as essential to Darla’s look as a Nemo plushie (below). A few sellers on Etsy and a few folks on Amazon have this shirt in both men’s and women’s cuts. Everyone can get in on the fun!

6″ Stuffie Plush of Nemo: My kids have SO MANY STUFFIES and yet when I initially wore this outfit, I had to use a pool toy for my Nemo! A plush this soft and iconic would have been helpful.

Women’s white knee socks on Amazon Prime: A schoolgirl (and Darla Disneybound) costume essential. These do the job for just a few bucks on Amazon Prime.

Darla’s Yellow Plaid Skirt: This is skirt is a little short, so I recommend some spanx or walking shorts underneath. A cool breeze may expose more than you’re willing to share.

Black Chunky Mary Janes: while we can’t always see Darla’s feet, These squishy heels add a sense of school and yet trouble to your outfit. Remember to break them in well with a thick pair of socks before you traipse around the Parks!

Thank you so much. I was looking for a skirt that would work and that skirt helped me.
