5 Easy Cow Costumes for Cow Appreciation Day!

Our family isn’t new to Cow Appreciation Day at Chick-fil-a. I’ve been going every year for as long as they have had it, and the last three years, I’ve drug Hubs and Red with me. We even “dressed” him up when he went!  This year will be no different, and on Tuesday July 10th, we will don our ears, tails, and spots; heading to Chick-fil-A for our free meal.  That’s right… a free meal. Wear one dominant cow piece and you get a free entree. Make a whole outfit and you get a free meal.  (This offer may vary at a restaurant near you, so be sure to check!) Chick-fil-a offers a great free printable cow costume for Cow Appreciation Day to get you started.
Cow Appreciation Day Chick-fil-a Family
I literally have no excuses for our poor cow costumes of the past, other than I ran out of time. Being a costume designer is like being the children of the cobbler… we don’t get any shoes because I’m too busy making them for other people.  While I am at least making our one day in advance for Cow Appreciation Day this year, it’s never too late to share a tutorial with you… or a roundup!! Other fabulous bloggers have their stuff together and put together some complex, easy, fast and detailed outfits that you can replicate!  Unlike the printer paper and marker one I made for Red’s first outing…

Featured above, in order are:

1.  A Costume Cow Hood from Max California

2.  Super Easy & Cheap Cow Costume from Froggy and The Mouse (no longer available to read)

3.  Simple Cow Outfits from Cyndi Hall Creations (no longer available to read)

4. 10-minute family costume from Mamas Like Me

5.  Cow Print fabric Outfits from Sugar Bee Crafts

Find more cow appreciation day outfits on my Cow Appreciation Pinterest Board, where I’m sure I’ll still be collecting ideas until we get in the car to leave for our Chick-fil-a sandwiches.  With extra pickles.  And a lemonade. Because, Mmmmmmmmm.

Do you dress up in a cow costume for Cow Appreciation Day for the free meal every year? Or do you even have a Chick-fil-A restaurant near you?

Super cute. I’ve always printed the kits off and put the costumes together. You’d think I would save them!

I always want to do this to get free chicken, but usually forget when Cow Appreciation Day gets here! Maybe I can pull it off in time this year.

I know that chick FIL a does their appreciation day, but our only ones are 20 and 30 minutes away. I actually only get to eat there about once or twice a year!
