I was so incredibly lucky to have been selected to throw a #Disneyside party this month. I nearly jumped out of my skin when I got the email from Disney while visiting Mom, and just after having run the Princess Half Marathon with Hubs, had to dash home and toss together this awesome bash. Here’s a taste of what our guests had planned for them:
My new wreath on the front door had some of our favorite Disney characters hanging out, waiting to greet our guests! We love Emperor’s New Groove, but it’s a lesser celebrated movie!
We had plenty of food, like Mike and Sully Brownie Cups, popcorn, Mickey-shaped ham and cheese sandwiches, organic veggies and dip, and my personal favorite, Dole Whips!
It took me three tries to get the consistency right – frozen pineapple juice was a real contender for my blender! The Dole Whip cups may not have been the most beautiful thing anyone had seen, but they sure were the tastiest thing about the weekend. YUM! (Blog post about the recipe coming soon!)
After lots of good snacks and drinks, we had some t-shirt decorating, with lots of cute Disney templates that I completely forgot to snap photos of! Fabric markers were used to trace around silhouettes of our favorite Disney characters, like Mickey, Donald, Goofy, Ariel, Maleficent, Aurora and Tick Tock Croc.

Then, we used the markers to make confetti and firework dots around each one in different colors. Some kids colored in the shapes to decorate them. Easy project for all ages, and you can wash and wear them. Thanks to Hanes for donating the t-shirts to the party!
Not only did we make T-shirts, but there were plenty of other games, like a homemade Heads Up, Disney Character side. It was really fun!
Since we had all our guests wear their Disneyside best, a few of our Princesses brought crowns. Red was so intrigued by them, and asked to borrow some for a few minutes. What handsome royalty! Were you able to celebrate your #Disneyside this weekend? If you weren’t, me what your favorite way to celebrate Disney would be! Be sure to visit http://www.disneysidecelebrations.com/ and see how you can host your own #Disneyside party!
Disclosure: I was sent an American Tourister suitcase cram full of party supplies to throw a fabulous #Disneyside party. I was not required to post or share anything, but I simply had to! I was free to comment in any fashion I chose.
Thank you for having us! It was a super fun #Disney time! Loved the games, food, etc.The kids had a ball!
Anytime!! 🙂 🙂
Oh wow, you guys went all out for your party, huh? I love all the decorations and the t-shirt decorating idea. So cute!!
I really like how creative you got with the snacks. Love your son wearing a crown, too cute. Did you save me a cupcake?
I wish – I seriously ate all the leftovers… too good! Red loved borrowing that crown. He said “bootifall”
That was a nice party! I also did one and had so much fun. IT seems anything disney is fun!
Isn’t that the truth? My husband likes to say that WDW is a People Trap set by a Mouse!
It looks like you guys had a blast! We had to postpone our #DisneySide party due to illness, so I can’t wait to have ours. Maybe we will use your Dolewhip recipe?
Love this! Looks like you had a great time! We can’t wait to have ours – we have been in a cycle of sickness so have had to postpone.
You look like you had a blast at your Disney Side party. I have really enjoyed seeing everyone’s post and getting ideas for my own Disney parties. My daughter is a Disney fanatic so I know in coming years I will have a lot of planning to do. I love how you incorporated characters into the treats!
Emperor’s New Groove is an awesome movie that often gets overlooked- we LOVE it! I love that you guys made t-shirts; such a fun idea. Looks like a great party!

Looks like such a fun party! I love all of the Mickey stuff! And those cupcakes look delicious!
You are so lucky! I am loving the t-shirts w the fabric markers! We’ve done t-shirt decorating w Clorox bleach pens but I think the markers would be safer! i’m also loving the cupcakes. They look so unhealthy—aka good!
Looks like your Disneyside party was a huge success. I’ll have to remember some of your ideas for my grandkids.
This looks like so much fun! I want to throw a Disney party! 🙂
Wow…looks like you had a nice Disney spread there!!!! Those Mickey Mouse cut out pieces of cheese and lunchmeat are fun too. I bet everyone thought they were awesome! I’d like to sink my teeth into some of those Mike and Sully Cupcakes!

Even as an adult I love Disney movies! I bet this was a super fun party!
Party looked like a lot of fun. I’ve seen quite a few other Disneyside parties and they all look amazing including yours of course.
How fun. You can tell a lot of thought went into things, and it looks like it turned out great!

That looks like fun. I am feeling inspired to have a party myself. Thank you for sharing!!
I feel like I’m missing out on all the #DisneySide fun! Throwing a party would have been WAY difficult with a newborn though. We can’t wait to celebrate our Disney love by going to WDW!!
Your party looks so cute! I also love The Emperor’s New Groove. (And those Dole Whips? Amazing!)
