It’s going to be an amazing year at the movies! 2019 has an incredible slate of films that I have been looking forward to for a few years! 2017’s D23 Expo Live Action Panel showed me the life-sized animation model of Dumbo, and I was fascinated with how much like the original animated character it looked. I could see the 2D Dumbo’s soul in his eyes! Aladdin remains one of my husband’s favorite Disney movies, and I can’t wait to see the reincarnation of the film. Which movies will you be at the theatre for? Pass the popcorn and ROLL ‘EM!

March 29, 2019 – DUMBO (Walt Disney Studios)
Baby Mine, don’t you cry. I have so many theories about this movie! When I first caught wind of the dark-toned Ringmaster led film, I wanted to see it. There may be some that say don’t mess with a classic, but my elephant love runs deep. I can even see Timothy Mouse’s clothing and personality in Dumbo’s little girl. Now I can just fast forward to March to see the movie!
From Disney and visionary director Tim Burton, the all-new grand live-action adventure “Dumbo” expands on the beloved classic story where differences are celebrated, family is cherished and dreams take flight. Circus owner Max Medici (Danny DeVito) enlists former star Holt Farrier (Colin Farrell) and his children Milly (Nico Parker) and Joe (Finley Hobbins) to care for a newborn elephant whose oversized ears make him a laughingstock in an already struggling circus. But when they discover that Dumbo can fly, the circus makes an incredible comeback, attracting persuasive entrepreneur V.A. Vandevere (Michael Keaton), who recruits the peculiar pachyderm for his newest, larger-than-life entertainment venture, Dreamland. Dumbo soars to new heights alongside a charming and spectacular aerial artist, Colette Marchant (Eva Green), until Holt learns that beneath its shiny veneer, Dreamland is full of dark secrets. DUMBO flies into theaters on March 29, 2019.

May 24, 2019 – #ALADDIN (Walt Disney Studios)
There is an early 90’s home video of my husband lip syncing this entire movie. His love for Aladdin is fierce, and I’d be willing to bet that it’s his original hook in into the Disney culture and why he tolerates me and my madness so well. I even surprised him for our 8th anniversary with a weekend trip to see Aladdin on Broadway! This is the reason I’ll have a front row seat at the movies this weekend, and I’ll bring him as a date!
A thrilling and vibrant live-action adaptation of Disney’s animated classic, “Aladdin” is the exciting tale of the charming street rat Aladdin, the courageous and self-determined Princess Jasmine and Genie who may be the key to their future. June 21, 2019 – TOY STORY 4 (Disney·Pixar)
Who doesn’t have an attachment to Woody and Buzz? The original film came out so long ago, but has maintained its staying power and love of the people. Disney Parks’ multiple iterations of the Land shows its popularity, and I’m no exception. I’m all for Toy Story 4, and extremely curious about Forky… will I love him as much?
Woody has always been confident about his place in the world and that his priority is taking care of his kid, whether that’s Andy or Bonnie. But when Bonnie adds a reluctant new toy called “Forky” to her room, a road trip adventure alongside old and new friends will show Woody how big the world can be for a toy. Directed by Josh Cooley (“Riley’s First Date?”) and produced by Jonas Rivera (“Inside Out,” “Up”) and Mark Nielsen (associate producer “Inside Out”). Watch the Ducky and Bunny reaction to the Teaser Trailer here… which is like a Pixar Short in itself. Worth a watch! 🙂 Disney·Pixar’s#ToyStory4 ventures to U.S. theaters on June 21, 2019.
