Growing Like A Weed…

“They” say that as you grow older, time passes faster.  I can attest that is TRUE.  It’s already February, and my head is swimming. We’ve got mega commitments, productions, the last of the kitchen projects, and school activities sucking up our life, and I’ve been so busy that I’ve barely been able to sit down (oh, the story my fitbit could tell you!).  Scarlett is growing up as fast as a flit, and while she’s a shorty (25%), she’s developing so fast!  Here’s a small peek at how fast she’s growing!

Now in her seventh month, she’s interacting with everything around her, and it amazes me that such a small human could be so firm with her preferences.  She always wants to be around us (in sight!), though I’m working with her to be able to play in her Pack N Play while I do laundry, cook or otherwise keep everything running.  This Thumper bunny was a gift to our Goddaughter 7 years ago this month, and has been passed back to us to stay. I made sure to take a photo of him and Scarlett before Doo thinks it’s a chew toy!

Meanwhile, Red is blossoming in Pre-K.  He’s brought home over 30 mastered sight words, and while I’m not one to typically brag online, I’m SO PROUD of what he’s accomplished.  His drawing skills have continued to develop (people have fingers, shoes, ears, and hair now), and he can read many sentences in his bedtime books all by himself.  We’re trying to consider what type of Kindergarten to send him to next year – any parent want their child to do well, right???  I’ll just say the magic of his red hair is contributing to all those brains.  ðŸ™‚

The next few weeks continue to be full with more wonderful family visits, the Princess Half Marathon (get GREAT runDisney tips here on Pinterest), and even a video shoot to pimp out my YouTube channel. (Stoked about that one!!)  What is giving the start of your year a kick in the pants?
