In the words of my 4 year old (TOTALLY copying my Mom, btw!), “What the heck is that?!” It’s already April? I’m in denial that my birthday is this week, I’m staring down some deadlines, exciting trips and an overall sense that the boa constrictor that is Spring is really starting to snuggle down. As busy as it’s been, and even about to get worse, there are some awesome moments being had.
I just got back from an amazing entire-family trip to Walt Disney World, and am about to embark on my first Mom2.0 Summit, followed by a pixie-dusted return to Orlando for the Disney Social Media Moms Conference. In the very few days in between all that jet-setting, I’ve been down in my office sewing my next show like a madwoman! I’m in a state of glitter, fur and general leathery fabrics!
I did manage to have a wine and snacks night with my girl friends, which was such a treat! I need to do a little more of that. In another moment of self-reflection, I’m starting to neglect myself outside of the gym; not good!
I capped off the weekend holding my kids and then splitting off on a work trip to Turner Field, home of the Atlanta Braves! My hometown stadium has been in business for 20 years, and was the original stadium for the 1996 Olympics. I made sure to take some selfies in front of both! The previous, aged stadium was demolished. Since the “new” stadium wasn’t really supposed to house an MLB team, the Braves are finally planning and building their dream home north of the city in Cobb County. I’ve joined the #BravesBloggers to celebrate the final season at Turner Field and to give y’all a better glimpse of how fun it is the be a Braves Fan!
Most folks I know are running around like crazy chickens! What has your April in hyperdrive?

Spring has sprung for sure! I love that you sew. I sew as well — not well but I’ll get there. What fabric stores do you frequent? I’ve heard about Boca Bargoons but haven’t checked it out yet.
Happy Birthday! Hope you have wonderful day 🙂

Thank you!! I’m all over the place with fabric! Fabric.com is actually in Marietta, and I’ll also hit the core chain stores, Forsyth and others downtown. Gail K is wonderful for apparel!

So much crazy! Only a little over a week for you and then maybe life settles down, right?
HAHAHAHA!
