It’s freakin’ HOT here in Atlanta. With E visiting for a few weeks and the house a little cramped, we needed to cool off and get out of the house without baking to death. Red was sent a Slide & Splash Dolphin Kiddie Pool from Backyard Oceans a few weeks ago, and now was the perfect time to break it out. It was loads of fun.
I managed to blow up the slide in only a few puffs, but after seeing that our bike pump wasn’t useful to inflate the pool, I had to go about it the old fashioned, huff & puff, turn your face red for 15 minutes way. It was a little painful. BUT, then it was done. And I’m proud to say that over the last few days, despite MUCH playing, it hasn’t lost any air (do yourself a favor and pick up a small motorized pump… so you don’t make out like the big bad wolf).
I could have hooked up the garden hose with a low flow to the underside spigot for a spray shower, too. I didn’t, so I’m sure that makes me a terrible parent (this will make Red’s memoirs one day, I’m sure of it…) The boys had a TON of fun this afternoon, and I’m sure we’ll be breaking out the pool all summer long. Do ya’ll have any water time in the backyard?
Disclaimer: We received the Dolphin pool from Backyard Ocean. I was not asked to post nor was I compensated. All photos and opinions are my own.
Awww, that looks like they were having so much fun! My kids love the kiddie pool in our yard, too!
Looks like they really had fun :).We have a big paddling pool in our garden for the kids and then a smaller one which the dogs love to lay in when its hot lol.
M and Peanut want to join in! We have a splash pool- but sharing with Red would be more fun!
That’s such a cute little pool! We had something like it last summer but it busted. =( Boooo. But splashing around in the backyard is a must- you’re right, it’s way too hot!
That’s such a neat little pool. It’s perfect for the backyard and I love the dolphin slide.
Water play is summer at its best! I used to do sprinklers even more than the pool, I think!
I’m envious of the sunny, flat yard. π We do have a small pool for my toddler in our back yard. We absolutely love water time in the summer!
He will remember all the fun he had. Nice!
We haven’t taken our pool out yet this summer. I prefer to take it out in the morning before the sun is overhead and avoid the heat of the day.
I spent most of my life in Oklahoma, so I get the heat – totally! Ugh! Now that I am in Michigan, I do miss OK, but I sure dont miss that heat!
so cute! I remember these days when my kids were little. Red looks like he is loving this!
Love it! With the warm weather its always nice to have something for the kids to relax and cool down in.
What a cute pool! I love the slide and it looks like they had a blast. Your kids are adorable!
This is a great way to beat the heat! I can see that your son is having a great time. π
What fun! We have already been to our family farm where they have an in-ground pool nearly every day this past week! It’s been super fun!
I love this post! My little redhead boy loved cars from day one. Now he’s 19 years old and will be studying with Ferrari – a dream come true for him! What a fun outing.
What a fun day. The pool is really cute and I can see how kids would love this. Much better than the standard plastic pools.
I was JUST looking for a pool to get the kids for the backyard. Our water table will be here Friday. So looking forward to that!
Your son is adorable and he looks like he is having a ball in that pool! It is Hot is Atlanta in the 90s!!
You go girl! I can never blow up anything without feeling like I am going to faint. The boys look like they’re having an utter blast.
Those cars are so neat! My kids would liketo go see that place.
What a cute way to beat the heat. π You got great pics too. π
What interesting visions for cars! I wouldn’t mind checking this museum out for myself.
I love that pool set. Backyard swimming is perfect for summer~
Looks like the perfect summer day! π I think you need a back up pump!
That looks like an amazing museum. My nephew would love visiting there.
I love the addition of a slide. looks like fun!
Whoa this pool is AWESOME! We just have a plastic one…..but this is WAY better!
Wow, that red car is amazing. The museum would take me hours to go through looking at even just a few cars.
I cant wait for Michigan weather to stay consistantly warm so we can enjoy more pool days too. PS Your pool is awesome!
That is such a cute little pool! The slide is so fun!
I’m not too far from you and totally agree. It’s way to hot. I’m glad your kiddos found a fun way to cool off. Great pic!
Oh how cute! Props to you for blowing that big thing up!! That was a workout!! We bought a air pump for our air mattress and it’s been very helpful with those. I love the pictures you took!
The kids love playing in the backyard. And when there’s water involved, all the more fun!
Aww the smiles of delight are so sweet. They are having such a blast, you can tell.
Yes, ATL has been HOT!!! I’ll have to get one of these for my nephew. We tried to do a makeshift one like this, but it ended in disaster. π
What a fun little pool. I like that it’s big enough for splash fun but small enough for little kids.
That is really cool! I can’t believe you blew it up by yourself! I need to invest in a small pump for all this kind of stuff. I blew up an inflatable bowling set last week and thought I’d die!
Nice to know about these dream car but these are really awkward and very silly in look.I like Vintage than these cars. However,if you want to track your car so have a look on range rover vin decoder.
