This little list is for all the new mamas out there, or ones (like me!) whose babies are due soon. I’ve done some due diligence around the web and at my local baby expos, digging out information on really useful post delivery products. From compression garb to subscription boxes, I hope you find something that will make your life a little easier, or give you an idea for a baby gift for a friend! Some of these products I already own, and others I’m keeping my eye on. I was not paid to advertise any of these things, I just like them a whole lot (some affiliate links are used)!
The Belly Bandit
There’s a reason this sucker is popular – lots of people have had success with compression garments post-delivery. As a C-section mama, I know compression helped me feel whole and I loved feeling like I wasn’t going to bust out all over the place every time I sneezed (GOD FORBID any other bodily functions). They have expanded their selection from the original belly bandit to great maternity tanks, before/during/after pants, and even maternity belts to help support your growing bump. The price point can be a bit high in my opinion, so choose what you think you will use (ask for them as baby gifts!)
Anna Naturals Body Products
For those of you that are green and like more natural products, I came across this company and was impressed by the wide selection of nursing, pregnancy and general “beauty” products. From breast creams to stretch mark oil, they seem to have something for everyone. Many of their offerings seem to go the way of essential oils, which I know are getting very popular. Anna Naturals
The 16 Minute Club (Subscription Box or purchase singles)
Nursing and Newborn Subscription Boxes, tailored to your baby’s age and your development stage. I feel that the maternity boxes are a little redundant for my second pregnancy, but I’m interested in seeing if the newborn/baby boxes can give me a little nursing boost! You can purchase one box, or keep your subscription coming around once a month. http://www.16minuteclub.com/
The Naked Tank
Meant for nursing moms, go ahead and shop for one of these in your last few months of pregnancy. It’s a tank top with a huge cut out for your nursing bra. When you lift your shirt (sometimes all the way…) up to nurse, this tank covers your belly and keep you warm, held in, and modest, if that’s your goal. I chill easily, not to mention I’m a c-section patient, so that extra compression and “hug” is something that I want all the time. While I don’t own one of these yet, it’s high on the list of things to pick up before July comes!
The Lalabu Soothe Shirt
I first found this tank to on Pinterest, and started stalking it. I was doing price checks, reading reviews, and planning for my purchase. Then, I came across the creators and marketers at the Atlanta Baby and Child Expo and HAD to have one. I was fortunate that the company was giving a huge discount if you purchased at the Expo, and I snagged one on the spot! While the tank does NOT fit my pregnant body, it will be perfect once I’m delivered, and has a fabulous stretch fabric to accommodate a nursing bust (and has nursing ability!). I’m already thinking about buying another one is a different color.
Udder Covers Nursing Cover
I ordered one of these nursing covers with Red and I really liked it. For someone that’s modest, but still is learning to breastfeed in public and get the hang of it, this unique nursing cover has a steel ring in the neckline that stands away from the body and allows you to look down on the progress. It also pulls the fabric away from baby’s head a little bit. It’s light enough to use in the hot summer months, too, so I really liked it. You can use udder covers promo code: PJBABY until the end of July 2015 and get a FREE one… just pay shipping. http://www.uddercovers.com/
