Outshine Summer with Refreshment & Giving

As a member of the Outshine summer campaign, I received incentives in exchange for participating in brand related activities and spreading the word about Outshine Fruit Bars as a work from home snack. #SnackBrighter

We finally had a not-blazing August day in Georgia.  Sure, it’s nearing the end of the summer, and the humidity was still at least 60%, but it was beautiful outside! I took my laptop, water bottle and favorite fruit bar outside to the porch (or as I’m calling it the satellite office!) and settled in to work.

You might remember from my 3pm recharge post that I love an outdoor break, and even more, a snack or that I actually have that freedom to choose when I press pause, because I’m the boss of myself (oh… my tween self would be so happy!).  So I settled into my porch couch with my newest flavor of Outshine Fruit Bars, lime!  It’s a great snack to me celebrate the summer season, especially since they feature real fruit or juice as the first ingredient.  Outshine improved 8 of its most popular Fruit Bar flavors by adding an average of 77% more real fruit or fruit juice and reducing sugar by an average of 11%.  I hadn’t had the lime flavor before, but it was clean and refreshing! I love that citrus tang paired with the icy bite.

Try an outshine fruit bar for your hot weather snack. Fruit is the FIRST ingredient! Not only has Outshine improved their fruit bars, but they are also doing some serious good.  I remember as a sixth grade student, we learned about global issues, like child hunger and the lack of food for some families.  I vividly remember my teacher telling us that there was, in fact, enough food on earth to go around, but it was the transportation and affordability of such prevented people from getting it.  That economics concept boggled my mind as an 11 year old.   I’m glad to report that this summer, Outshine is helping to support communities on the national level, and is donating 1 million pounds of fresh fruits and vegetables to Feeding America to ensure that families across the U.S. have access to fresh produce.  That’s pretty awesome in my book.  Try an outshine fruit bar for your hot weather snack. Outshine is committed to giving to local communities this year!

Now if that level of giving isn’t enough, Outshine is also giving kids a fruit first, refreshing summer snack by donating Fruit Bars to Boys & Girls Clubs locations in Los Angeles, Oakland and locally in my home city of Atlanta.  In fact, Outshine donated 216 Fruit Bars to Warren Boys & Girls Club! Now that’s a donation that helps everyone shine a little brighter from the inside.  ðŸ™‚

chill out and freshen up with a frozen fruit bar from Outshine. #snackbrighter

Outshine bars are awesome and we enjoy them all year round. My favorite is the coconut while my husband loves the citrus flavors best.

I love these bars. Drawback–I can’t have just one! They are a guilty pleasure for sure. They aren’t that much more expensive than the all-sugar, no-fruit competitors. I haven’t tried the lime yet. Sounds good!

Aside from the fact that I am now craving a lime fruit bar, I am very impressed with how they are giving back! Fruits and vegetables are so important and that donation they are making is great to hear! Thank you for sharing!

That Outshine bar is just what I need on a day like today – sick child at home and coping w/ car repairs. I need a refreshing break.
I love to hear what they’re doing here in Atlanta!

I think I have tried them all, but the Lime is my all-time favorite! There is nothing quite like this.
