This christmas pajama post is sponsored by Carter’s; however, all thoughts and opinions expressed are 100% my own.
It all started many years before I was born: a sweet little Christmas Eve package, wrapped up with love, was nestled under holiday decorations containing a very special pair of pajamas for my Mom. That yearly holiday package came each Christmas Eve no matter what means the family had, and brought such joy with it. It eventually became a pajama tradition, with a new and different pair being opened year after year; and the tradition was passed down to a new (my!) generation. Each year of my childhood, I remember seeing my own Christmas tag dangling from the edge of the glossy paper gift bag: “To Lindsey, From Mom and Dad.” My younger brother had an equally exciting bag all his own. Each year he and I were given a new pair of warm, fun pajamas to wear on a chilly Christmas Eve night.
This was all years and years before viral videos about holiday sleepwear, Pinterest pictures advertising Xmas eve gifts or matching family getups. It was an old tradition for our family, and one that I’m continuing with my own young children. For the last 4 years, Red has had a pair of Christmas pajamas waiting for him each Christmas Eve, and this year Scarlett will “open” her first pair, too. I’m already smiling just thinking about it. I want to make this tradition special for them, too; something they look forward to doing each holiday season!
Coming downstairs on Christmas morning to a warm fire, our favorite music, and the magic Santa has left is an everlasting memory for me. I get to re-live it once a year, and now that our family is complete, it’s going to be extra special! I’m happy that my local Carter’s store has soft, coordinating pajamas for my munchkins. Just look at how cute Red and Scarlett are reading a new bedtime story!
Use this coupon for 20% off your selection of Christmas PJs to start your very own Christmas pajama tradition. It’s good until the end of November, so you have time to carefully select holiday jammies for each of your children.
Did you know Carter’s is America’s favorite PJ brand? And it’s no wonder with their super-awesome prices and safety features. Having a new baby in the house again, I’m reminded about all the things I hate in children’s clothing and seeking out the options and features that I love. Like zipper tabs. Those tiny pieces of fabric and snaps that keep the zipper pull down and away from Scarlett’s soft baby neck. I had no idea it was so important to me until I didn’t have them…
Carter’s also has the largest assortment of children’s pajamas up to Size 12, with 1, 2, 3 & 4 piece options. That means even though Scarlett and Red are different genders, ages and sizes, I can still get them color coordinating holiday pajamas to make our Christmas that much more magical.
How are you celebrating a Christmas tradition with your family?
I love this tradition, I will be starting it this year with my kids. Your kids are so cute!!
Your kids are so cute in their jammies. What a cute tradition.
I always pick up PJs for my kids for Christmas. We used to always give them on Christmas eve but somewhere along the way, my teen daughters convinced me to give them to them earlier in December so they could have more time to wear them during the appropriate holiday! (I think they were just conning me to open a present early, but I gave in anyway!) 🙂
Christmas jammies is such a fun idea! I want to start doing this with my family. I think it’s great.
Those pajamas are adorable. I would love to get some cute Christmas PJs for family.
We always do Christmas pajamas and I love the idea of turning them into a Christmas Eve gift. I always shopped at Carters when my kids were small and now I pick up surprises to spoil my nephews.
I love this tradition. Carter’s has the best clothes for little ones!
This sounds like a fun Christmas Eve tradition. My family and I get in our pajamas and watch A Christmas Story every year!
These photos are so precious! Carters has some of the cutest little outfits. We have one in the outlet mall close to home. Great sales, too!
I love this tradition. My family does not open or exchange any gifts until Christmas Eve.
It’ a tradition of ours to have matching PJs every Christmas too. The kids get them on Christmas Eve then sleep in them !
Scarlett is the happiest lil mama I know. She’s always in the best mood. Scarlett and big brother look adorable. Merry EARLY Christmas!
Love traditions like that. One thing we did when our kids were young was dress in Christmas Pj’s and then drive around and look at Christmas lights all over. Follow that up with Hot Chocolate at home.
Ooooh Maybe I need to add hot chocolate to our list!
I can’t believe how grown your kids are already! Those PJ’s are darling for the season!
This is so sweet! I have a pj christmas party every year with my girlfriends so I know the love for pajamas is real! 🙂
When I was young, my mom would make matching pajamas for my sister and I. For my kids, they wore Carters a lot of the time.
We used to shop at Carters all the time when my kids were little. These holiday jammies are so darling!
So cute. I used to do the same with my two kids before they had their own opinions of what was cool. Enjoy these times! Have a wonderful holiday!
haha. Even when I was an angsty teen, I wanted my PJs, but I “helped” pick them out…
My kids at 17 and 20 and I still buy them Christmas pjjamas. It is a tradition I plan on continuing.
So cute and precious! We have a tradition of opening one gift on Christmas Eve;)
We always got to open the gift that would be new pajamas on Christmas Eve. There’s nothing cuter than kids in matching pj’s on Christmas morning!
Traditions are sweet, I like it. I give the kids jammies every year for Christmas.
What a great holiday tradition! I love this idea. These are also pretty priceless shots of your darling kiddos! Great Carter’s models I have to say!!
Aw thanks… we should be so lucky!
Those pajamas are so cute. The kiddies look adorable in them. This is a fantastic tradition.
Thanks, it’s one I’m treasuring!
i love the designs your kids are wearing. I try to get jammies for my kids each year but their varying ages make it hard now.
