Cirque Du Soleil’s LUZIA comes to Atlanta

LUZIA has swept into Atlanta like a dream we don’t want to wake up from. Inspired by the vibrant spirit of Mexico, this Cirque du Soleil production turns the stage into a living art—waterfalls appear from nowhere, flowers bloom in midair, and acrobats who seem to bend time in half. It’s the kind of show that makes you remember what it feels like to be absolutely spellbound. The show is now running at Atlanta’s Atlantic Station from now until January 25, 2026.  My family was given tickets to review the show.

Light and Rain are featured heavily in this Cirque production, which was born in 2016. The big top stage is flooded with surprising amounts of water, complete with acts working in the weather event, and the scenic design is so well directed that I, a seasoned theatre-goer, didn’t even see the changes the techies were working until it was too late. Superb work from the entire team!

Of course, I’d be remiss if I didn’t also discuss the AMAZING costumes featured in this show. Not only does the production design team bring “Imaginary Mexico” into being, it brings the flora and fauna from the region into partnership with the acrobatics. Hummingbirds flip and run. Snakes climb poles and contort in the air. Iguanas, swordfish, alligators, grouper, pythons, lizards, armadillos and more dance across the stage. The shapes were extremely creative and the execution flawless!

We had previously seen Kurios: A Cabinet of Curiosities in Atlanta a few times, which was very fun with a toy and steampunk emphasis, but this natural wonder of imagination far surpassed that show for me. Luzia is a winner!

Luzia Runtime

The runtime for LUZIA is approximately 2 hours and 5 minutes, which includes a 25-minute intermission. The total performance length is 125 minutes. Be sure to stretch your legs during the intermission, but return in time to see the second act’s “preshow” start!

Buy Tickets to Luzia

I really hesitate to say more, or else I will ruin all the amazing surprises LUZIA has to offer you! I recommend the first ten rows for the best views! Grab your tickets here before they sell out: https://www.cirquedusoleil.com/usa/atlanta/luzia/buy-tickets
