Cirque’s ‘KURIOS: Cabinet of Curiosities’ in Atlanta

Cirque du Soleil has always fascinated me.  It’s an amazing blend of classic circus, gorgeous imagery, spectacle and daring.  Kurios will make the fourth show I’ve seen, and Chase’s second.  They never fail to impress, entertain and marvel their audience.  Atlantic Station will once again be home to the Cirque tour this spring, bringing a new show called Kurios to the striped tents.

The kids are Kurios too!!  Step into the curios cabinet of an ambitious inventor who defies the laws of time, space and dimension in order to reinvent everything around him.  Share the family experience with $25 kids tickets (with the purchase of a full price adult ticket).  Kurios Cabinet of Curiosities will perform under the iconic blue and yellow big top at Atlantic Station March 3 – May 8.   CLICK HERE and take advantage of this offer now! Be sure to scroll to the bottom of this post to participate in the giveaway for tickets to the Atlanta show!

If you want a very cool peek into the lives of the KURIOS performers, watch this little behind-the-scenes documentary.  It was neat to see the relationships and learn about the kids/families on tour!

About KURIOS – Cabinet of Curiosities

In an alternate past, a place where wonders abound for those who trust their imagination, a Seeker discovers that in order to glimpse the marvels that lie just below the surface, we must first learn to close our eyes.  In his larger-than-life curio cabinet, a collection of otherworldly characters suddenly steps into Seeker’s makeshift mechanical world. When the outlandish, benevolent characters turn his world upside down with a touch of poetry and humor in an attempt to ignite the Seeker’s imagination, his curios jump to life one by one before his very eyes.

Chase and I really enjoyed the show.  The daring acts were incredibly beautiful, brave, and so well designed.  I especially loved the creative takes on acts that you may have seen, or think you know! I don’t want to spoil it, so get your family to the Grand Chapiteau quickly!

Cirque is being generous enough to offer YOU, my fabulous readers a Family Four Pack of tickets to the Thursday, April 21 show at Atlantic Station. Please note that the show begins at 8PM and runs approximately 2.5 hours! Enter using the rafflecopter below:

I’ve never seen a Cirque performance, but I’m looking forward to catching this one. I think the concept is extremely unique this time around, which caught my attention.

In general, what spurs my curiosity is things that I can’t figure out. So I imagine here, it will be how things are hidden from clear sight and then “magically” appear!

What sparks my curiosity is trying to figure out how to make things. I am challenged by seeing if I can create the props my kids see in games and books.

The world in general sparks my curiosity. How did we get here? How does this or that work? My mind is always going.

My curiuosity is sparked by things that look easy but I think should be difficult. Magic tricks are an example. Cirque makes everything look simple!

I’m curious about many things. Since we homeschool, there are things that spark my curiosity daily as I teach- so I research and share with my son. I’ve always wanted to know how things work, or wanted to learn about different cultures, countries, etc. Always looking for more knowledge! 🙂 Thanks for the chance to win.

My children spark my curiosity, which is how I became interested in Kurious. My son will be entering middle school later this year and wants to follow in his sister’s footsteps by being in the band. He is interested in percussion. After reading the article in the AJC about the percussionist from Austell, I really want to take our children to see this.

The teenage mind and emotions spark my curiosity. I’ve worked with teens for years and now have one of my own, and the way their brain works is something beyond what I can comprehend, but would love to understand! lol
