A brand new place has opened in downtown Atlanta for family fun! Game-X, located in Downtown Atlanta’s Luckie Marietta District at 275 Baker Street, is a fabulous little oasis from the working city. A “bar-cade” that features a small but delicious menu, party rooms and LOTS of the hottest arcade games is lots of fun for the whole family.
The Redhead House was invited to try the food, games and take a look at the new kid’s party room that doubles as an adult lounge. I was impressed with the layout – it’s very roomy, but has lots of family friendly games and a very nice staff. The food was good – and the burger was one of the best I’ve had in a long time – I recommend that! The menus are on old XBOX cases, and they have a menu for the little ones, too. But BYOM (bring your own milk) because the drink selections cater to the adults and older kids.
The party rooms are small, but adequate. The smaller room will accommodate 18 comfortably – and they have chairs to fit the big kids and small colorful ones for the munchkins. You’re allowed to bring your own cake and decorations if it suits you! The upper loft area has a lounge, bar top, highboys, 2 golden tee machines, a bank of windows and a large projection TV. It’s a GREAT location for an office party!
The games were fun, even for Red – he didn’t know how to play anything but Fruit Ninja. Hubs took him on the “roller coaster” ride, and they punched lights and Ice Age Whack-a-Mole for what seemed like hours. Red was all smiles.
