Easter snuck up on me this year! I bought Red a shirt a few months ago when I saw it on sale at Oshkosh, but with February flying by, our awesome Disney trip and the move, well…. time has escaped me like no other. When this past weekend was drawing near, I realized I had to find the Easter decorations, the basket and help the Easter Bunny shop for some basket stuffers! Thankfully, due to our small toy stash (TMNT and Paw Patrol) I had a few small toys to put in there, and I added some Target $1 bin extras and some fruit snacks. Done. I actually got it together on Friday when Red and I cooked up some Bunny Bait for our friends, teachers and the E.B. himself. Friday afternoon was also the moment I idiotically chose to brave the mall traffic with Red and snag a photo with the season’s mascot.
When Sunday came, we were cooking up a storm to bring food to my in-law’s house and digging the iron out of a moving box in order to make sure we were presentable! (Yes, Mom, I found the iron! And used it!) My dress is from my Maternity Stitch Fix haul, all of which I was really happy with. Post to come. All that being said, I think we turned out rather nice. This is officially our last Easter photo as a family of three!
Red and his three other cousins readied themselves for an egg hunt in the back yard. They each had their own designated area to search in so that each grandchild got their own challenge as well as some special gifts.
Red is really getting the hang of it this year! He understands what a holiday is and how to celebrate each of them, and the search for eggs outside was his favorite thing to do!
Daddy helped carry some loot and assist with the harder-to-find gems, as always. I can tell you that this preggo was happy that he took on the task. Bending down to gather eggs is no longer an easy thing to do as the third trimester approaches.

Looks like fun! Laughing about the iron. I was proud of myself for finding pantyhose. I’m not much of a dress or skirt girl so it was truly a miracle to discover a pair (without runs in them!) stashed away in my closet. They have been returned to their hiding spot in hopes of use again on another special day. Probably Christmas. LOL
