I was giddy to be selected to visit a local Famous Footwear store to get the inside scoop on the back to school sales and style. Now I can dish all the info to you!
Famous Footwear is truly a family friendly store. The kind managers and staff work with you to help you find the right sizes, styles and prices to fit your family and budget. As well as slashing prices on name brands, Famous Footwear also offers ecoupons, a savings club (free to join) that earns dollars and points, and a HUGE variety of sizes. Kelly Malone, Director of PR at Famous Footwear, helps to detail some favorites styles: within the women’s collection, color is king with astro-bright colors and patterns. Nautical and multi layered styles, like lace up booties and boots are ruling. Greys, blacks, metallic and taupe are the hues for the fall season.
Kids are really loving animal prints, sequins and old school mid-top sneakers. Teen athletic sneakers are getting pumped and colorized with neon colors like hot pink, cool blue and electric green. Popular back to school accessories include anything athletic inspired & 80s retro stripes are dominating apparel! Last, but not least, classic casual, skate styles and boat shoes continue to make a splash for the men.
I found myself checking out the neutral, fun RocketDog flats and the Steve Madden patent heels (drool!!!!) Hubs would really do with a new pair of casual shoes, and I KNOW Red would be dying for some CARS sneakers – he’s loving “Ker-chow!” at the moment.

The #shoecrazy shoppers got to keep the footwear, and shoes totaled up to over $750 dollars, which was donated by the store to charity (Lift Up Atlanta helps local families purchase back to school supplies)! I meant to grab those Twinkle Toes shoes for Danger, but ended up grabbing the pair Barbara was talking to me about in the heat of the moment. (The heat of the moment… lol) Famous Footwear sure does have some great shoes! And it is always so great to hang out with you 🙂
