When we went to the pool to celebrate Aunt Caroline’s birthday, she found a tree frog hopping nearby the pool (most likely trying to get into the pool)! Bringing it over to Red, she brought it down low for him to examine:
I’ll say that the frog was very calm and very brave to have a giant one year old tower over him, grabbing and poking. We tried to explain to be gentle, but that only goes so far. Aunt Caroline made sure to shield the little frog from any harm. Here, Red grabs her hands to peer at the froggy.
Froggy made a giant leap to the stroller handle, where we got a better look at him. His fingers were so sticky, and his belly was very soft. From the top, his skin looked like that of a toad, and his camo was perfectly suited for a tree in the GA woods.
Red was thoroughly entertained!
Check this out, Mama!
Froggy was then safely released onto a tree, out of the way of pool foot traffic with lots of bugs to munch on. Glad I had the camera out in time to capture Red’s experience!
