Getting Fresh… (but not like that!)

A lot of folks are purging cabinets, closets and cleaning up messes.  Such is Spring Cleaning, right? While I am participating in #40Bagsin40Days and doing a rotten job of sharing it on social media, I’m also freshening things up around the blog (and myself, too)!  I finally received my pre-ordered DVD of Frozen, popping it in the DVD player almost as soon as the UPS guy hit the sidewalk.
I got myself a fancy new haircut and a slightly darker color, although with this lighting it doesn’t look at all different. I promise it is. Even my friend Krystyn noticed, so I felt very fancy and chic! I’m slowly growing it all out. Why? Because I only have 20 years left until I’m 50, which is when I’m pretty sure you have to have shorter hair by the older lady mandate…. Maybe I’m having a thirds-life crisis and reaching for youth…  Anyway, does it work?
Lastly, I made a super-subtle change in my blog’s header.  So subtle that most people didn’t bat an eye, but I like it a LOT better.  I changed the direction of the striping, and streamlined the font as well as the “block” it was printed on.  It just seems a little more modern and makes me happy… and it didn’t cost a cent. πŸ™‚
What are you switching up this season to feel a little newer and happier?

I thought your header looked different but I couldn’t exactly place why! And thanks for the reminder that in 20 years, I’ll be 50! (Well, almost 50 — I don’t turn 30 until June) πŸ™‚

I like your new hair cut. I can tell the difference. I just recently got mine cut, at least 7 inches came off. And I now part it on the side and I love it.

The haircut looks great! We’re going to pick up a copy of Frozen. The kindergartners are watching it tomorrow for Pajama Day. πŸ™‚

I love your new hair! I just got something new done to mine as well – the one thing I have complete control of in my life, so I change it often, lol.
I just started making some changes to the header of my blog – I’m still a newbie, but I think it looks better!

Your hair looks fab! I’m doing a spring cleaning of my blog too – for a fresher, cleaner look. This weekend I also plan to get into the kids closets and get rid of any clothes that don’t fit!
