Groundhog Day Crafts and Snacks Roundup

Groundhog Day: It’s a silly little day to over-celebrate a little rodent who may or may not know how to forecast the weather.  Up north, they have Punxsutawney Phil predicting the cold, while down south in Atlanta, we look to General Beauregard Lee (which, if you look up the stats, has a better track record than Phil!!).  All that weather mojo aside, it’s a fun time for Groundhog Day crafts and snacks.  I’ve curated a delectable collection for you and your family to enjoy in honor of our furry prognosticators!

Groundhog Day Crafts and Snacks Roundup

Everyone loves cookies, even a groundhog! Actually, I can’t claim that. I’ve never met Phil or the General to ask them…  These sweet molasses cookies from Wishes N’ Dishes are a tasty way to celebrate winter’s possible end.

These Groundhog Day pudding cups from Simple Girl are so easy and cute to put together.  Just a few simple ingredients yields a snack-craft even a preschooler can make!

These are the most adorable snack I’ve ever seen.  Straight from Sweetology, these Groundhog push pops are both tasty and “educational…” After all, the groundhog comes up from his hole, and this is an hilarious way to show that!

Groundhog Day Push Pops

These fun Groundhog Day Puppets from Coupons are Great are easy for kids of all ages, especially if Mom cuts out some pieces for the very little ones.  Grab a glue stick and it’s time to play!

Playing dress up and pretend is a cornerstone of childhood, so why not capture the moment and create these painted paper Groundhog masks? Take your kids outside and have them discover their own shadows.

Thank you so much for including our groundhog puppets in your feature post. This is such an easy day to forget, but putting something together to make it fun sure is easy!
