Kid’s Jurassic World Blue Raptor Punch

Caution… Objects in mirror are closer than they appear. I spared no expense when putting this post together for you, as you will see with my “very expensive” maraschino cherries. Because what kid’s drink is complete without them? This Jurassic World cocktail I call the Blue Raptor Punch is a non-alcoholic, fruity splash that you could toss some rum into for an adult beverage. But it stands on its own with whiffs of lemon and fruit punch as well as a touch of coconut for that island feel.

Jurassic Park Themed Cocktails

Right off the heels of my Lando Cocktail from Solo and the ever-popular Kylo Ren Cocktail, this Jurassic World Blue Raptor Punch is something even I want to make for my kids before we settle into a dinosaur-filled movie marathon. Granted, Scarlett is so small now that her film fest consists more of The Land Before Time, but Red has a more discriminating taste in action films and actually enjoyed Jurassic World when seated on his home sofa. It made the Indominus Rex a little less scary, and the Mosasaurus all the more mighty (and worth celebrating for him!).

Raptor Punch Recipe

If you’re not feeling blue, you can always try a new color of fruit punch, like green or red, but my heart lies with Owen Grady’s pet Raptor, Blue. She’s dangerous, smart, stealthy and hopefully as the new movie will prove, loyal.  She’s the muse behind my Jurassic World Blue Raptor Punch. Long. Live. Blue. (or if blue isn’t your color, you can try my bestie’s green adult dino drink!) There’s also a Peach Mint Julep to tame, if you’re able!

Jurassic World Raptor Punch

Prep Time5 minutes mins
Course: Drinks
Servings: 4 people

Ingredients

  • 4 cups Hawaiian Punch
  • 3 cups Lemonade
  • 2 cups Coconut water
  • Ice Green sparkle cake gel ( Wilton )
  • Red sparkle cake gel ( Wilton )
  • Maraschino cherries for garnish

Instructions

  • Take the sparkle cake gels and decorate your glass with a drizzle effect.
  • Create the green layer first and create shorter drizzles.
  • Repeat with the red right under the green and create longer drizzles for the dripping blood effect.
  • Set to the side for 10 minutes so the gel can set and partially dry.
  • Fill glasses with ice.
  • In a large pitcher add the Hawaiian punch, lemonade, and coconut water and mix to combine.
  • Pour into your glasses.
  • Garnish with cherries.

I’m sure your kids are as excited for Jurassic World as mine are… though they may enjoy the home theatre ability to hit the lights on when a scary part approaches, they are well versed in the original Jurassic Park movie that started all this excitement. Catch the Jurassic World 2 – Fallen Kingdom trailer below for a sneak peek at all the scaly, scary dinos that are on the way!

Thanks for your comment! I used the Blue Typhoon Hawaiian punch, which is already blue. You can sometimes find it already pre-mixed, or like me, you can mix it yourself to your liking! Cheers! Here is the listing: https://amzn.to/3b4paGM

How did you do the colored swirls for the glass? Is that icing?

Yes, the red and green are gel style icing! Lit from behind.
