Our Last Trip to Turner Field

As the Atlanta Braves have their last countdown to the final game at Turner Field (October 2nd, 2016!), the excitement is building and activity is a frenzy to get all of our favorite activities in one more time!  The Braves hosted our family to a game this month so we could once again celebrate Red’s love for the Braves and everything in Turner Field.  Isn’t this the best shot of Red entering the stadium?!heres-to-braves-country

I made sure to snap a bunch of photos of Red, Chase, and I doing the Tomahawk chop in the stands, seeking our favorite spots like the Skyzone, Scouts Alley and the CHOA Dugout we’ve come to know this season.  It was our last trip to enjoy everything before the move northward to Conn County in 2017.

My little slugger took his final at-bat in the Pro Batter Jr. (whiffle balls) and knocked a few that shot out. He was excited to be a part of the team.

One thing Red has wanted to do all season was visit the Yickety Yogurt stand, a frozen treat that you pile as high as you care to go with toppings.  Served in a Braves helmet to take home, I hope this tasty experience is put into the new stadium. It’s perfect to create your own dessert and share it with a friend!turner-field-frozen-yogurt

I also escorted my guys up to the 755 club one last time. We took in the view from the stands above and even had a few refreshments from the bar before we headed down into our seats. The view is pretty awesome up there! Did you catch my FB live? last-trip-turner-field-view-755-club

All in all, I have had a WONDERFUL time visiting Turner Field to root on the Braves this season.  In fact, every game that Red and I have been to, the Braves have WON, including two games against the Nationals.  Dare I say he was the lucky charm, sitting in the stands? I won’t jinx it…

As I watch construction come together on the top of I-285, I’m getting more and more excited to finally stroll around the new SunTrust Park and check out the new stores, the new eateries and everything “The Battery” will host.  You can bet our family will #ChopOn through it all.
