Make the Most of Your Habitat: Staycation with the Georgia Aquarium

Thanks to the Georgia Aquarium for sponsoring today’s discussion. I received a family pack of tickets in return for posting.  All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Earth’s oceans are home to 230,000 known species.  Of all the animals that dwell within the sea, some of them have pretty cool habitats and do nifty things in them!  For instance, you may know that fish sleep mostly behind rocks or seaweed, but did you know that as clams grow, their shells grow with them? How about Octopuses being extremely shy and living in caves at the bottom of the sea?  Bull Sharks really make the most of their home by easily transferring from rivers to the ocean, and even brackish waters.  Those little hermit crabs even take their homes with them; like little RVs over the landscape!

How about you? Do you make the most of your habitat? If not, consider visiting some attractions in your very own city.  Save gas, airfare and hotel by taking the full tours, scouting new eateries and revisiting old favorites.  For me, the aquarium is an “old” favorite.  I’ve been to the Georgia Aquarium more than a few times, and it never fails to impress or entertain with new exhibits, shows and features.

I still haven’t seen the new Dolphin show, but I’m fixing that as soon as this weekend comes. I can’t wait to see my friends perform with these fabulous animals (Theatre people are everywhere!!) and cross it off my to-do list.  What about the Monsters Revealed Exhibit? It’s like Bodies for Sharks… SO excited to see that!  And the Ocean Voyager? I could stare at that all day long!
As for Red, he’s REALLY into all things aquatic: Shark, Whales, Fish and Octonauts (yes, we’re Disney fans if you didn’t already know!), so Hubs and I are even more eager to see his face once we walk through the doors for the first time.  Be sure to follow my Instagram for more updates when we visit the aquarium later this week, and plan your visit now to make the most of your habitat!!

Wow, your makeup came out so good. I have never really worn makeup before, so now I kind of wonder what I would look like all made up.

You look beautiful! I didn’t know you could get a makeover for purchasing $50 at Sephora! I’ll be going to get some of my foundation and powder soon- that more than qualifies! I’m excited now for my next shopping adventure!

Isn’t that awesome news? That means I’ve missed out on my fair share of makeovers! Try to plan your purchase, and call your store. It only takes 2-3 minutes to schedule and appointment, and they even ask you questions to best align you with a stylist!

I should totally do this! I have honestly have very little knowledge when it comes to makeup. I have very fair skin and it’s hard to find anything that doesn’t make it obvious my makeup is too dark for my face. I think I need someone to show me the way!!

You are a beauty without the make up too 🙂 I like that you can get your makeup done in a hurry. There are so many times I wish I could have a makeup artist live in my bathroom cabinet and pull her/him out when I need a professional looking make up application. Great after photo, that lip color is gorgeous on you.
