Make Your Own Date Coupons with Datevitation

Every Christmas, during the crazy Christmas shopping season, Hubs and I are both busy shopping, wrapping, making lists and checking them twice. We feel that the hub-bub can sometimes take the personal touch out of our Christmas presents, so we instituted a rule that one present to each other should be handmade or creatively crafted. We also help Red make a present for Mama and Daddy. It can be as simple as tracing his hand on a colored page of paper, or as fun as creating some love coupons on a site like Datevitation.com.
Remember the coupon books that you used to make as a kid as a gift for Mom?  Datevitation is a sweet little website where you can create those custom coupon books in minutes by combining over 500 special activities, 100 cover choices, customized text, redemption dates and even inserting your family’s own faces (no glue sticks required)! Datevitation then prints your book and sends it straight to you in a brown paper envelope.  Datevitation can hep you can make a coupon book for your parent, mom, best friend or even for your partner.  You can select date ideas ranging from skydiving to making campside s’mores to an even more romantic, adult activity.

I sat down with Red one afternoon, and we chose pictures of his and Hubs’ faces.  Then, we thought about things that he and Daddy like to do together.  It was super easy to find the activities we wanted, like “Ice Cream Shoppe Trip”, “Neighborhood Walk” and “Matching Outfits”.  Being able to have a “little boy” and “adult male” figure as well as toddler friendly activities was important to me.  Giving coupons to Daddy for skydiving or shooting fireworks with Red doesn’t really work!  I will say that you need to make your coupon book in one sitting – finding your book under “My Account” was a little tricky for me.  Making your booklet should only take you about 15 minutes from start to finish.

Customized coupons start at only $25, so it’s an economical gift, as well as a creative one! As a special treat, use the Datevitation promo code ‘REDHEADMAMA’ for $10 off your purchase plus free shipping (total value of $13.50). That means your checkout price is only $15 – yeehaw! You MUST place your Christmas presents order by December 13 to make sure it arrives on time (and doesn’t turn into a proverbial Xmas sweater) – so get over to www.datevitation.com now and start creating!

This is an adorable concept. Can I just say that we’ve been married for nearly 9 years, and have never done this?? I love your promo code too- I think it’s a great incentive to put it at that price point, which seems to match the product better. Now to send this link to my husband…

I find it so funny that they took something that we all did as kids and made it into a sellable product, that’s so awesome. It really makes for a very polished and sleek version of that.
