An Outfit All to Myself

Disclaimer: I received a Merchant’s Walk gift card to shop and share my honest opinions as part of a sponsored post.  All thoughts and opinions are my own.
Sometimes, when you’re a Mom, you forget how to shop for yourself.  You walk into a store, and it’s all about the kids (even if they aren’t with you).  Ooh, look at that Matchbox car set. It would make a good Christmas present. Aw, Red could really use those sneakers for school next month… I’m my own worst enemy.  Sometimes I don’t toss a cocktail napkin into the cart for myself.  Thankfully, there are some mommy angels in the world that look after us.  Merchant’s Walk Shopping Center in East Cobb, Georgia challenged me to shop for myself.  Could I do it? I’ll tell ya, it wasn’t easy….

Totally kidding.  It was ah-mazing. (Aren’t you glad I didn’t say epic?).  I spoiled myself totally rotten browsing in all the local boutiques, child-free, while Red was in school for a few hours.  I had no idea the wealth of styles, affordable accessories, shoes, and handbags the close-knit center offered.  My favorite boutiques were Muse, Lizard’s Thicket, Fab’rik, and Collage.  See that navy blue dress on the left? I bought that dress, too; I reached out to ya’ll Instagram and you voted for it!!
The big winner on my shopping trip was my heathered, dolman sleeved sweater from Collage.  It’s super soft, with a cowl neck to emphasize up top, and wears like a light cloud.  The store had LOTS to choose from and a large sale section, both with ethnic/eclectic touches, embroidery and some of the softest fabrics I’ve found.  I tried on TONS of jeans, but with a small waist and big booty, Old Navy’s rockstar skinnies were the winner. I got some beautiful green and gold chandelier earrings at Lizard’s Thicket, which is also where I bought the navy blue front zip dress.
Check out the other hot Mamas that went with me to brunch and share our shopping experiences!  (In order), Mommy Talk Show, In the Kitchen with KP, Baby Shopaholic, and Uncoordinated Mommy.  They each created outfits from the local boutiques in their own style, and we felt so special to be able to gussy ourselves up with some new threads.  And I only bought a pair of socks from Red.  A girl can’t help herself.
Seed Kitchen and Bar (@eatatseed) hosted us for brunch (you can see the facade in the photo above).  I chose the creme brulee french toast for lunch, and I ate every single bite.  Then I went into a sugar and syrup included coma while we toasted with hand crafted mimosas.  If you haven’t visited this revitalized shopping center, you’re missing out on the great shops, restaurants and even the brand new Whole Foods!  Merchant’s Walk wants you to visit, too, so they are graciously sponsoring my giveaway to award one lucky winner with a $50 gift card! Enter using the rafflecopter widget below, and Good Luck!

Cupcakes…yum! I would probably buy some new bath towels & bath mats for my bathroom. Ones the kids cannot use!

I don’t live very close, but if there is a Whole Foods, I’d probably spend a ton of time and $$ there. I could use some new clothes, too 🙂

I have totally given up on cute house stuff until Red isn’t a toddler anymore. Too much running and touching!
