I’ve been going to Intrigue Salon for a loooong time. I completely trust my stylist with my hair. She is my Pinterest – she keeps me fresh, stylish and updated whereas sometimes, I feel like oatmeal with my own style. She’s amazeballs.
A few months ago, she asked me if I would be her model for Happy Monday – an industry workshop where she and a few other stylists demonstrate and teach new techniques in color and cuts. Um, YES! I would be thrilled to be your model!
I spent about 3 hours getting a completely new color regime – 5 colors, with assistance from at least 3 other stylists over the afternoon – pampered. Intrigue carries only Goldwell color and is associated with Nick Arrojo (You may know him from TLC’s What Not to Wear)- they feature his personal haircutting services once a quarter and exclusively carry Arrojo products!
The Happy Monday workshop was on a (of course…) Monday. Hubs had Red, and I was crammed into my first pair of skinny jeans, (I am now a reluctant convert, thanks to Lanae. I’ve worn them 3 times since the workshop!) a black tank top and heels. Lanae went over my proposed hairstyle a few times before the execution.
I had my makeup professionally done, and it looked SOOOO GOOD! I learned that I desperately need a few new eye shadow brushes to make this work at home.
Afterwards, I got to see my new do – shorter, lighter, fresher, and I’ve gotten so many compliments in the last few days. Watch out, Lanae, you’ll have to be repeating this one, I think! Lanae, I love you to pieces! Thank you!

So, not only do we need to do a fun photo scheme for me, but you’ve got to teach me how to bring my eyes out like that! Gorgeous!
