I like reading a little book to Red every night before he goes to bed. Sometimes, he’s just not into it and I get to read Baggy Saggy Elephant to myself while he toddles around the room. Tonight, Hubs was home and caught us reading Red’s most favorite book in the entire world: Moo, Baa, Lalala by Sandra Boynton. We’ve read it several times a week since Red was born, and by now, at 20 months, he can imitate all but one of the animals (rhino). When I point to the page, Red moooos, baaaas, quacks, or neighs.
It truly gives me little flutters when he helps read the book, and when we close the last page, he softly says “night night”. I’m living one of my favorite memories, and getting to share it here with you means I will never forget it!
Thank you to Renee for supplying this Redhead House Classic!

Super cute picture! Lately when I read to my three year old we both have our own book and she pretends to read hers simultaneously when I’m reading – it’s both adorable and slightly annoying because it means she’s not really listening to the story I’m reading – oh well!
Thank you! I love that Hubs was there to catch it. “They” say that it’s good to read to them no matter what they may be doing at least she’s copying you – you’re prepping a mighty appetite to read!
I sure love it when they start reading the books..the turning of the pages and the words. So stinking cute.
