Mommy & Me: Romantic View from the Top

Wow. I’ve been hanging on to these photos for two months, waiting to post them.  Waiting. Waiting.  What am I waiting for?! Let’s do this!

For our anniversary in August, Hubs and I went downtown to have a nice dinner, lots of wine and took a ride on the new SkyView Ferriswheel.  The line was SUPER long on a Saturday night at 9:30; we waited almost 45 minutes to get into our gondola.  But once we were in, it was a calm, air conditioned ride around the wheel two or three times, letting us see nearly the whole city in night-lit splendor.  I highly recommend going at night – the lights are so beautiful!  

Hubs and I have been married for 5 years, and it’s true that you learn new things about your spouse with each year.  For instance, I had no idea that Hubs was nervous about ferris wheel gondolas when then swing during loading! He’s fine when they move, but I think it was the first time I’d even seen him be “scared”. I waited until we started moved to scoot next to him and hold his hand 🙂 Very sweet.  I even got a these few selfies in before the ride was over. It was super dark inside the gondola, and phone pics are always grainy, so bear with me for the photo quality!
