I can hardly believe she’s here! Waiting for your baby to arrive is one of the most anxious feelings I can think of. Add on the excitement of a new gender, and it’s an emotional cocktail when they finally make their appearance. Scarlett was born last week via planned C-section, and I’m excited to get all my thoughts in order and finally write her birth story. While it won’t be nearly as dramatic and emergency-filled as Red’s, it’s important to me to get it all down!
It seems very appropriate to have today’s Mommy and Me Monday feature my new little girl, in all her sweetness. This is a shot that a dear friend took when she came to the hospital to shoot newborn photos. If y’all have not experienced Tracy’s work at Studio Duetto, I can’t wait to share a few more photos from our family session as they come in. It was magical.
Our hands are more than full these next few weeks with new Scarlett and lovable (active!) Red, but I can’t wait to share more about our journey into a new family unit and routine. We are so happy!

Oh, she is a little peanut! My babies were both over 8.5 pounds and they seemed tiny to me. I love her! Sweet photo too.

Congrats on Scarlett’s arrival! Hope you are getting some rest and enjoying every moment with both kids. It really is a bit of a change, but a good one. I’m sure Red will be an awesome big brother.
Thank you so much! Yes, finagling two has been quite the change, but my husband has been a HUGE help, and my mom was here a week after we got home.
