What a weekend! As snowstorm Jonas visited most of the East Coast, Atlanta was not to be missed! Our neighborhood tends to get a little more snow than others, so a full 1″ with a little bit of ice beautifully fell in fat flakes all night long and past lunchtime. That meant one happy preschooler and one very grumpy bulldog. Scarlett was amazed to see the quickly falling snow on the patio, safe from the wet ground and chilly wind. Daddy toured her around for a few minutes before I swept her back inside for a nap. Red, however, spent over 6 hours playing outside (with a few breaks to warm up and eat) before a nap finally overtook him.
The very next day, all the snow was gone, save small collections in gutters, roof lines and shady flowerbeds. I, as an insane person training for my half marathon, signed up to run the Hot Chocolate 15k in downtown Atlanta, where the race officials had issued a cold warning and shortening of the race due to the 26 degree weather. Brrrrrrrr. Me and my racing buddy were super chilly.
Later that chilly day, Chase and I, along with many friends had Chase’s late birthday celebration; a staple burger joint in downtown as well as catching Book of Mormon at the Fox on its national tour. This isn’t the first show Chase has seen with me at this historic theatre, but this is the first photo we have together outside the marquee. Very fitting for a Mommy and Me post, don’t you think?!Did you get any snow, ice or super-rain where you are living? What are you and your family up to this week?

That hot chocolate run looked soooo cold! One of my instructors ran it and said she was so sore because it was too cold to warm up her muscles or “cool down”!
It looks like you all made the most of it and had a great weekend!
