Every year, the Dawgs play the Gamecocks. I was a gamecock all my life until I went to UGA for my Masters, and then a part of me became a red-and-black bleeding Dawg. I love my Doo, I love my school, but part of me will remain true to USC.
This UGA/USC matchup is a happy one for me, because I feel like I can’t lose the game. Whichever team wins, means it’s a happy occasion. No one can rain on my parade… unless it’s Hubs. He always gives me a playful time on these gamedays, but happily supports my 1980s’ cut gold Gamecock earrings, Cocks hat, Georgia shirt and other wild commemorative pieces I’ve collected over the matchups.
The dawgs won this round, and I’m loving every minute of it! Go Dawgs, Go Cocks!
What a fun rivalry to look forward to every year. We don’t get in to college football really…and the Hubs is an Aggie so it’s really taboo for us not to watch. I love your college game day gear!

Thank you so much! 🙂 Hubs makes fun of me when I wear it all at once – he says I can’t make up my mind. Now that game has passed, I start itching for Christmas… and all things after football!
My hubby is into football, but not college football. I’m a football widow this time of year.
