I am obscenely proud. Proud to the point that I should be put in a padded room until I stop waltzing around the room like a nutty person.
Red had his first day of “school” today – Mother’s Morning Out. Hubs and I decided to start him in order to get Red a little more socialized with babies toddlers his own age and to give us a chance to get more work done (both jobs and around the house). Before we left, I took too many pictures, and kissed him so many times that Hubs had to remind me to get into the car, or we wouldn’t quite make it on time. 🙂 I packed his lunch and diapers, all into his backpack and even dressed him up in a school-themed smocked outfit.
After being picked up in the afternoon, Red boasted a perfect report card and his very first work of art. Little foam shapes pressed onto construction paper. Say what you will, but my little heart busts at the seams when I look at this. Fridge-worthy for sure. Maybe I ought to be locked up for a few more hours…

Red will continue on with Mother’s Morning Out for a good while, and I will continue to be obnoxiously happy about it. Have you had that moment of super-parent-proudness? What was your first moment like?
