Bahama Breeze treated me and a guest to complimentary appetizers and a cocktail tasting in return for posting. I am free to comment in any way I choose. Thanks, Bahama Breeze, for some super tasty bites and sips!
If you were following me on Instagram on Sunday, March 23, you would have seen this slew of delicious photos appear on your feed! Bahama Breeze was kind enough to invite me to celebrate World Meteorological Day with them, and partake in a Dark ‘n Stormy cocktail. The classic cocktail from Bermuda takes its name from the treacherous waters surrounding the island. Our bartender hand-crafted from Gosling Black Seal Rum and ginger soda. I expected it to be pretty awful, but the delicately bitter ginger mixed with the dark rum was calling us to the poolside! It was definitely a dark rum drink, so I only had half, but it was tasty and uniquely flavored.
We ordered some super yummy appetizers, full of flavor and extremely fresh, unlike some of the dishes I’ve had before. Bahama Breeze was stepping it up with classics like Coconut Shrimp, Lobster Quesadillas, and fried conch fritters, as well as fabulous new flavors like plantains topped with BBQ, corn and black beans, which was AMAZING. It sounds so weird, but it is so so good!
There was also an ahi tuna dish, served with wonton chips and mandolined cucumbers. Super fresh, and only a slight hint of hot spice. We ate the whole thing!
Last, but certainly not least is the new Curly Tail cocktail, a beverage consisting mostly of Malibu rum (hello, lover…) and other splashes of secret juices. By far my favorite of the evening, and plus it came with a little lizard on top! (It’s those finishing touches, ya’ll. I’m a simple caveman).
If you have a Bahama Breeze near you, make sure to check out the offerings on your menu and make sure to try those new cocktails – yummy!
