But the bags are most likely not for what you’re thinking… it’s goodwill time, not trash day!
We cleaned out the dresser drawers with our yearly sweep. Hubs likes to call it “the fashion show”. This means I get to put my feet up on the bed and sip wine while he delves into his drawers and closet racks to try on shirts that he hasn’t in a while. We can see what fits, what doesn’t, what doesn’t flatter and what’s too darn old and worn to be seen out in public.
He’ll amuse me by giving judgement on a few dresses and listening to my sob stories about how this dress from high school that’s 10 years old just doesn’t fit anymore. Go figure, RIGHT?! This year we are giving away 3 bags full of shoes, bags and clothes, and THREW OUT 2 whole bags of holey items and worn shirts. I call that a grand success.
Organizing 2013 is all about getting rid of the excess, cutting the crap and making use of what we have in a new, cleaner way. Giving away this many bags really leaves some space in the drawers for us to see what we have and make room for new stuff! That means it’s time to go shopping!
What was your project this week?

In the last 2 weeks we have purged big time! 3 bags from our closet, a bag of toys and 3 bags of out grown kid clothing!

That’s a ton. It feels so good to give it away and get it OUT!
