I say sweat the small stuff.
That’s right – sweat it. But for only a minute or two. If the small stuff is taken care of, then you can move on to worry about the big things and life feels a little simpler. Take our living room, for example. We have a TV, DVD, DVR, Apple TV and Music remote. Dear god, I never thought I would be one of those people, but I am. We have a billion remotes, and despite our small layout, the remotes are scattered and no one can ever find them… especially when little hands have stuffed them in between the couch cushions!
To remedy my problem I found this little gem for $8.99 in the Target cooking section:
It’s a utensil crock with chalkboard sides and a walnut/acacia-like finish. Perfect for our tall and slim remotes. All of them. And I can even write little notes on the sides if I wanted to had time.
It’s so much easier to be able to return the remotes to a neat little place after TV time is over, and extra easy to find the small ones. Small stuff DONE. Now if I can just get the wall paint finished, the living room will really start coming together!
