The Redhead House has been trying emeals, and we’re on our second week now. I can’t tell you what a relief it is to be able to come home from school, pull out something and cook it straight up with little to no planning!
Seriously. Our grocery list corresponds to the sales and specials at our selected store, and with our family’s choice of the traditional, low fat plan, we’re eating healthier than we have in a long time (read: we love our fig newtons).
To start off, Hubs made us the Black Bean Burrito bake that we salivated over and left NOTHING in the pan. Tonight I made a little labor-heavy Chicken Florentine (still ready in less than an hour) with crusty garlic bread, and you never would have thought it was low fat!
With my goal of getting organized in 2013, this has been a HUGE step in the right direction. I can say the following graphic is TRUE. Our grocery bill has shrunk an average of $15 week, and we still have food leftover for lunch the next day (most meals) with only having the dinner plan.
They have tons of plans corresponding with many stores, and many food plans (low fat, paleo, clean eating, traditional style, low carb, etc). I’ll be sharing some of our meals in the next week, and hopefully, you will try out eMeals, too!
Disclosure: Our family was given a chance to try out the eMeals planning service free of charge. Thoughts and opinions are honest and all mine.
