Disclosure: The Perrigo Nutritionals product, information, and two gift packs have been provided by Perrigo Nutritionals
Most Moms will agree; breastfeeding is best! But there are some situations that either don’t allow for it, or for some Moms, it’s not possible. And over 75% of mothers will supplement with formula sometime during the first year, according to the USDA.
When parents do find themselves supplementing, they find that it can be quite expensive, even when using formula checks or coupons. If you are lucky enough to have an infant that digests a variety of brands well, you can save up to 50% by using store brand formula over the leading national brands. Store Brand Forumla is sold under many names, such as Target’s Up & Up label, or Walmart’s Parent’s Choice. These choices are as nutritionally complete as the national brands, but cost less (almost $600 a year in savings!). Perrigo Nutritionals is THE largest supplier of store brand formula in the world, and is 1 of 4 companies recognized by the USDA for meeting the FDA requirements, which we all know can be quite strict (and should be!) for safety, nutrition and quality.
Perrigo Nutritionals was kind enough to share a gift pack with the Redhead House (thank you!), including:
- One can of Parent’s Choice Premium (nutritionally equivalent to Enfamil Premium® )
- One can of Up & Up Advantage (nutritionally equivalent to Similac® Advance®)
- One copy of Save a Bundle: 50+ Ways to Save Big on Baby Gear by Sandra Gordon
- Munkchin Baby bottle drying rack
- 3 section Formula dispenser
- Munchkin Bottle brushes
Perrigo Nuritionals is also sending a second gift pack to the lucky winner of the giveaway!
WINNER: Lisette
Would LOVE TO win this for my SIL. I breastfed my own daughter for 14 months. She self-weaned. We EBF except for solids. But I am not against formula for those mom’s that need it. My sister-in-law will have to return to work when her baby is born, so this would be perfect for her.
BTW I am a new follow via GFC! 😀
Fantastic! I’m so glad to have you here! And yes, it’s a great prize pack. Good luck!
I don’t have children, but if I did I know I’d breastfeed. My cousin (more like a sister), just had her adorable baby girl Isabella and is using formula and she would love to try this!
Did we ever find out who won?
🙂
Sorry Diana! i just realized my widget never updated the winner! it was Lisette C. Thank you so much for entering, and I hope you win the next one 😉
