Bright Suns, Travelers! I just got back from a visit to Black Spire Outpost, better known as Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Walt Disney World Resort. And no trip to a Disney Park is complete without a dedicated Disneybound! I created this simplistic yet effective Porg Disneybound for my one day trip and was very comfortable. The no-sleeve knit pieces were lightweight and breezy (check out that skirt hem – HA!) and easy to wear. Specific touches like my black round sunglasses (to mimic their eyes), headscarf and shoulder Porg round out the Disney style. The shopping list is below… ‘Til the Spire!
The Best Porg Disneybound
It wouldn’t be a proper Disneybound if you weren’t in character. Therefore, I give you the “Porg Scream.” It made my photographer laugh, so I got points for it! Then I went back to the regularly scheduled poses.
I absolutely love Droids in the Star Wars movies, but I also love the Porgs from The Last Jedi. They didn’t take over the movie a la Jar Jar Binks, but gave enough sweetness and comedic relief for me to be drawn to them. In fact, Puffins were such a large part of the island where some scenes were shot, the director chose to create “space birds” as an homage.
When I found a little Shoulder Porg plush (he’s magnetic and sits on a pad under my tee), I had to have him. I found it at the Star Tours Tattooine gift shop. It was far better than a small lapel pin in my opinion, but any Porg nod will help get your message across that you are dressed as a Porg!
My two best friends dressed as Rey and “A galaxy far, far away…” She has holographic letters on her shirt just like the beginning credits and light speed capris! The three of us took Star Wars Disneybounds to the next level!

One-of-a-Kind Handpainted Porg Parasol
I had handpainted parasols for the two Dapper Days in 2019 at Disneyland and Walt Disney World. The Cinderella parasol is a personal favorite while the Minnie Celebration Birthday Parasol was a perfect match for my over-the-top Minnie Celebration dress!
This Porg Parasol was inspired by the Star Wars Blips and is hand-drawn and painted. The base is a cotton waterproofed parasol with bamboo parts – no metal at all! I coated the acrylic paint later in a thin layer of spray polyurethane to seal it. When the rain came down in Florida, nothing ran! It was perfect!
The parasol folded is small enough to carry on the plane, and cram in a backpack with only the handle sticking up. I was able to have it with me on all rides save Rock N Rollercoaster where the Cast Member left it at the ride exit. Very simple!

AHHH!!!! This is SO well done! Simple, but brilliant! (And your Porg Scream face is just the best. Made me laugh for sure!)

Oh, I’m so glad I made you laugh! And thank you for the sweet words about the bound, I really appreciate it! I’ve got a Rey coming up next and then a C3P-O. Let me know what you have brewing!
