I was very excited to receive my Progresso Recipe Starters Pack in the mail this week! It contains everything I need to make quick and delicious meals this week when my calendar is more than full. My Pack contained:
- Two cans of Progresso Recipe Starters. (I got 3-Cheese and Fire Roasted Tomato)
- $10 Gift Card to purchase my recipe ingredients
- Progresso Recipe Starters recipe book, including 5 recipes to get started
- Small Baking dish
- a selection of nesting Measuring Cups
- A nifty silicon Sauce Scraper
The recipe book contained really yummy stuff, but there were two recipes on the Progresso Website that caught my eye: Buffalo Chicken-Potato Bake (fire roasted sauce) and Easy Weeknight Bacon Mac’N’Cheese (3 – cheese sauce).
I chose the Easy Weeknight Mac’N’Cheese because it sounded so good. Another perk to these snazzy cans? Box Tops for school. I collect them for my DAR’s Tamassee School funded completely by the Daughters of the American Revolution!

With only a few other ingredients to collect (bacon, milk, cheese, peppers & garlic), the dish went together in about 10 minutes (long enough for the noodles to cook). Easy chopping and combining. And it bakes while you clean up or have a dance party with your family!
When it came out of the oven, it looked sooooo good!
I barely got it onto Red’s tray before it was gone. He ate more of this than he had anything else all week! I asked Hubs how he liked it, and the first thing to come out of his mouth was a giant BURRRRP!, followed by “Man, that was really good!”. We have a winner! I’ll let you know how the other dish comes out when we make it later this week.
