New OralB Free Disney Timer App #ProHealth Kids

I’ll be the first to admit it, I couldn’t get Red to brush his teeth until he turned two. I know, I know. Horrible Parenting 101.  He had a teether with bristles that the dentist gave us to get him used to having bristles in his mouth, but when I came anywhere near him with a toothbrush (characters be damned), he could start screaming bloody murder. Suddenly, when he was two, I decided to implement the monkey see, monkey do method.  I brush my teeth in front of Red, so does Hubs.  But not just when it’s time for us… when it’s time for HIM.  We showed Red hot to brush his stuffed animal’s teeth.  That was key.  Suddenly, with a little fruity baby toothpaste and the re-emerged character toothbrush, he was brushing! Now, each night, I set up our tooth brushing “center” while Red bathes and as soon as he is dry, we break out our Disney timer and start brushing.

Do you have to urge your kids to brush for the proper amount of time?  OralB has made it even easier to get your kids brushing.  The new and FREE OralB Disney Timer App features over 10 Disney Characters and 4 Marvel Superheroes to personalize as well as fabulous music and an interactive timer to brush away suds and show reveal a Disney picture.  The app looks like this in the app store:

Apply your toothpaste to your easy “target” on your brush.  Then, simply use your Oral B Disney Timer App to scan the character’s logo on your Crest or Oral B toothbrush, and a secret animation appears (you can skip this if you like).  Then, brush brush until your time is up!  Earn “stickers” for each time you brush and pad your collection by earning accomplishments.

How do you encourage good teeth brushing habits? Red LOVES his new app – he’s been asking for “Dusty Crophopper” every night after bathtime.  And let’s be honest… the app’s not just for the kids… Now what are you waiting for? Get in there and start brushing!

This is a paid post is brought to you by the new free Oral-B Disney Timer App as part of a Type-A Parent Community Sponsored Post. Featuring sixteen of your favorite Disney and Marvel characters, use this app to seamlessly encourage your kids to brush longer. Collect a new digital sticker after each successful two minutes of brushing; track progress with stars and milestone badges on the Brushing Calendar. Longer, happier brushing for your little one is just a download away!

Oh I think my girls would love this tooth brush app. They like to brush, but I would like them to do it longer and in all the right places. Disney is their favorite anyway.. Thanks for sharing!

I’m going to download that app for my SIX year old! So cool! You’re making me think I really need to start getting my one year old twins used to the toothbrush now!

God he is cute! I never had much of an issue with my oldest son, but my little guy has always given me a run for my money when it comes to brushing. He flat out refused to spit out the toothpaste for years. I think he was probably close to 5 before he finally started doing it.

What a little cutie pie you have there! My five-year old does a pretty good job, and the two-year old is getting better. I love the idea of a toothbrush timer. I know we don’t brush their teeth for long enough…

I saw a commercial for Subaru (or was it Honda?) that featured Shingeki no Kyojin and I was like I NEED ONE!! xD It’s gotta be way better than the granny car we’re driving around right now.

Wow, this is really neat. I have never seen anything like this. I normally sing a little tune for my kids so they know how long to brush their teeth, but they would like this a lot better. What an adorable, handsome little man you have there.

A timer app is a genius idea! We don’t have to much of a problem with the actual brushing teeth it is the flossing that is the worst. We bought a water flosser and it has been working out great for our daughter and us as well.

I love the safety features and ratings of the Subaru. I’ve never driven one, but I like the looks of them. Next year sometimes we will be in the market for a new vehicle, I will have to look into it then.

My parents had 3 Subarus and my mother still swears it was the best car she’s ever owned. I even drove an old ‘box’ style Subaru when I was young. We ended up donating it because it never died!

I don’t usually watch Tosh BUT having seen him next to other celebrities in pictures you can tell he’s one TALL man. My hubs is the same height and he’s always complaining that our HHR doesn’t give him enough leg room. I think I’ll try and sell him on the Outback for our next car πŸ™‚
