Tuesday went really well – we had a few accidents, but Red went over 8 hours dry by the time bath time came, which meant a really big prize:
I’m really weighing the many options from the fallout:
1. Adopt a pull up for over nights and call them sleep pants. Keep Red in the crib until he is 3, (as planned) or use this option to help make the crib/big boy transition easier. When daytime pt is achieved, we can start night training.
2. Keep trying both the night training and stem the crawling from the crib at the same time (this does not seem appealing to me). Keep up with both and maybe it will all be said and done at the same time.
In an effort to save sanity, I may vote for option 1. We only really have two weeks until major workloads hit, and time is of the essence!! Any words of advice from ya’ll? I need help, and will listen to it all!! Leave a comment!

The Three Day Method is exhausting enough — use night time to rest up. Go with Number One. Pun slightly intended. 🙂

RIGHT?! Now if I can only convince Hubs of that… he’s in it for the WHOLE thing.

My brother had to wear a pull-up at night until he was 4. Some toddlers just can’t hold it at night. He was potty-trained during the day by age 2 though.

I say go with option 1. As far as night time training choose a time for him to get a final drink maybe an hour to 90 minutes before bed. Make sure he goes before bed. That way he won’t fill up the pull up or underwear which ever option you choose to go with and there will be less chance of a middle of the night bathroom time. If he wakes up throughout the night still take him to the bathroom. That way you are still night training.

We did this with our kids. So if they went to bed at 9. Their last drink was at 8 we took them to the restroom at 8:30 and bedtime and also if they were still awake after About 30 minutes we took them then

Thanks – that’s what we did, and last night he was dry for ELEVEN hours! Not holding my breath, but so far so good!

I’ll take it. Yesterday he had one accident, but was dry ALL NIGHT LONG!

Glad to be able to help.
