Red and I were invited to experience the Georgia Aquarium’s new exhibit, “Aquanaut Adventure,” which is family friendly, completely touchable and caters to several different learning capabilities. As you may know (if you follow our Instagram) we are HUGE aquarium people. We have been members of the GA Aquarium for the better part of a year, and while anyone with a ticket or season pass can experience this new exhibit (it’s upstairs in the main hall), our invitation allowed us complimentary parking (I’ll take it!).
Instead of knowing the difference in construction vehicles, liking tools, dinosaurs, robots or even Superheros, Red chooses marine-life every time. Octonauts are a daily staple for us, and bedtime usually consists of some aquatic creature book or even National Geographic Junior. So visiting the new Aquanaut Adventure exhibit was a no-brainer!
Everything was incredibly touchable, child height, and catered to every interest. There were touch tanks, video games, measureables, scannables, video shorts, animals in pristine tanks, and visual stimulation at every turn. There are no stairs in the aquarium’s Aquanaut exhibit (it’s all ramped) so strollers and handicap access are no problem.
Take a peek at the video I made that showcases some of our favorite challenges, exhibits and fun that you can find at the Georgia Aquarium’s new Aquanaut Adventure, now on exhibit!
Red took some time out after the exhibit to grab a face painting of a Sea Otter. For a grand total of $2, he proudly sported it all day, and was very upset when bath time came… What do your kids get ramped up for?

The Aquarium is one of our favorite go to places. New Orleans has one of the best yet! It looks like Red had a blast- 🙂

He always does. Want him to be on his best behavior? Schedule a visit to see the whale sharks!

What a fun visit! Looks like you guys had a great time. I’ve always been partial to sea life myself, even though the thought of water deeper than 6 feet petrifies me. :p
