Ready to Disneybound at Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at the Disney Parks? Hit up this easy Rey Disneybound for an afternoon full of fun! It can be made with really one garment, a belt and some loose fabric, though the make of the weave can make or break this outer space look!
Rey Disneybound
The hairdo for Rey is fairly iconic, just like Princess Leia. Instead of large “cinnamon roll” buns, we’ve got three “rooster tails” as my Mom used to call them, in the 1990s. Start with a “some up and some down” look, using a tad less hair than you would typically gather. On the last pull through, leave the hair halfway pulled through, making a loop.
If you have shorter hair or layers, this can get fairly tricky to do. Next, start a second half ponytail, repeating the process and including the remainder of the looped initial ponytail.
Thirdly, finish the look with a third half ponytail, gathering the loose ends with bobby pins or a bit of hairspray.
Creating the Disneybound look for Rey is fairly easy, and pretty cheap, too. The base for this Rey Disneybound look is a simple white tank shell dress, fitting at an A-line for my pear figure. It hit me at the knee-length, and I included pocketed Bolder Undershorts for anything that might be see-through, but to also give me extra storage for the day.
The beige/biscuit fabric is about 18″ wide, and several feet long. The more gauze-based your fabric is, the better it will drape and gather. This look is based on Rey’s initial costume in Episode 7: Star Wars: The Force Awakens (2015).
Starting on the right shoulder, toss an end to your back, leveling with the hem of your outfit. Bring the long front down to your left side, loop around to your back, and up across to your right shoulder. Cross that last piece to your left, making a veritable “X” on the front and back of your body. Secure this pattern with a belt. I made a faux leather belt with side straps and a mock pouch that fit my phone and chapstick.
Sadly, because my friends and I were tromping through the Disney Parks on a bite-sized vacation, I needed to wear sneakers the whole weekend for comfort. No one likes a Porg waddling around! You can wear just about any shoe with this Rey Disneybound, as long as it works for you!

I went to another site and they had the same username as you. But I knew it wasn’t you, since they were black. I read for a bit and almost comment something like “Are you as stupid as the things you write? Just kidding lol”., until I thought better of it and hit the bricks.
