This is not a sponsored post. I served on the Disney Parks Moms Panel from 2017 & 2018. I paid my own way in the Minnie Vans, and all my thoughts and experiences are my own.
I finally had my chance to take a Minnie Van around Walt Disney World Resort Property! If you aren’t familiar with these vans, they are Chevy Traverse vehicles that seat 7 (6 guests ride with the Cast Member) and offer two Graco Forever Car Seats. The Minnie Vans cost $20 as a flat fee to any destination on Walt Disney World Resort property and can be called using the LYFT App.
Minnie Vans are now serviceable at these resorts:
Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge
Disney’s Beach and Yacht Club Resorts
Disney’s BoardWalk Inn
Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort
Disney’s Contemporary Resort
Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa
Disney’s Old Key West DVC Resort
Disney’s Pop Century Resort
Disney’s Polynesian Village and Resort
Disney’s Port Orleans Resort
Disney’s Saratoga Springs DVC Resort
Disney’s Wilderness Lodge Resort
If you are staying at one of these resorts, visit the concierge or your Front Desk Cast Member upon check in and they will help code your app to receive and call Minnie Vans. Once you have the option unlocked on your phone, you can easily call the Minnie Vans at other destinations like Magic Kingdom and Disney Springs. Minnie Van service is currently available between 6:30 a.m. and 12:30 a.m. (subject to change).
The interior of the vans is full leather and extremely clean. I enjoyed the magical service of a friendly Disney Cast Member as well as the personalized transportation option, but I may not take Minnie Vans all the time since the cost could easily add up. I was missing this service last year when my family stayed at the Contemporary Resort and needed to go to Boardwalk early in the morning for a dining reservation. We were facing a lack of car seat and the need to go from Resort to Resort, which used to be a missing service!
