From the same company that brings us Lactaid, Bailey’s coffee creamers and Hershey’s milkshakes comes Simply Smart Milk. Founded in 1846, Hood’s dairy now offers Simply Smart brand milk, which offers the taste of a fuller fat milk without all of the calories. Hood’s natural technique of ultra-filtration removes some of the water that makes skim milk look watery. Afterwards, you’re left with milk that tastes richer and is still nutritious. NO chemicals!! NO hormones!
You can check out more product info at www.besimplysmart.com that will detail how Simply Smart’s Fat Free milk tastes more like 1% and the 1% milk tastes more like whole milk – that’s something I would love to add to my coffee!
Hood® Simply Smart® Milk Debunks Milk Myths during National Better Breakfast Month. Need some stats to back that claim up? Here’s some info from Hood on “milk myths and truths”:
Myth #1— Everyone knows that eggs are a better source of protein than milk.
Truth #1— Many women are uninformed about the amount of protein contained in milk.
The survey found that 97% of respondents were unaware that a glass of Simply Smart Milk contains more protein than an egg – it has 10-11 grams, depending on the type of Simply Smart Milk. The Fat Free and 1% Low Fat milks offer 25% more protein and 20% more calcium than regular whole milk and the Simply Smart Chocolate Fat Free Milk has 37% more protein than regular reduced fat chocolate milk. Another interesting finding revealed that, despite having more breakfast options, women still choose to have milk in the morning.
Myth #2—Milk is no longer one of the most popular daily breakfast components.
Truth #2—Milk still makes an appearance at the breakfast table for 73% of women!
Whether it’s a delicious bowl of cereal with milk, a creamy glass of milk on the side, or used in a recipe, milk remains a top choice for women at breakfast. Simply Smart Milk is a good option to start the day with because it’s nutritious and delicious, available in Fat Free, 1% Low Fat, and Chocolate Fat Free. The survey found that women enjoy milk at other times of the day as well.
Myth #3— Consumers prefer to dunk Cookies & Cream Cookies in their milk.
Truth #3— Chocolate chip cookies are still a favorite among milk drinkers who dunk!
Simply Smart Milk found that 43% of women still pick chocolate chip cookies as their favorite treat to dunk in milk. Chocolate Chip Cookies were the clear winner, followed by Cookies & Cream Cookies with 14% dunking, and Oatmeal Raisin Cookies with 9.14% dunking. *The referenced survey was conducted online by Survey Monkey from August 28-September 3rd, 2013 and presents findings from a sample of 536 women ages 30–65. Here’s to that! I could drink that Simply Smartini all day long…. Mmmm. Now about that blender….
I love that the cat sat on top of it. I’m surprised the lights didn’t freak the cat out. I need to hang one of these over our fireplace mantel for more light.
Christmas is my favorite time of year. I see you’re already in the spirit too!! Nothings more finer than a pre-lit wreath for your front door.
Ok, that is incredibly cute!! I would love to have one of these… maybe, just maybe
Cuteness! I love that the cat and your wee one were both inspired to have a little rest on the wreath! A pre-lit wreath is a great idea – I totally go overboard at Christmas time; I’m surprised I don’t have one of these already!
I love your prelit wreath and all your hubby’s nutcrackers! They’re sooo festive!
We just moved into a new (at least new-to-us house…it’s over 100 years old) house and I am really looking forward to decorating for Christmas! We have a huge evergreen tree out front and I’m hoping I’ll be be able to convince my hubby to decorate it with a whole bunch of white lights!
I always notice lit wreaths, they just stand out. It looks great! Cute cat!
We have a wreath that lights up for our front door but it’s not as bright as that one! I love the wreath and it looks like I’m not the only one!
I love my prelit tree and can’t imagine not having all those twinkle lights. Love the new wreath you got, might just have to get one too!
I can’t do prelit trees – I like the old fashioned ones where I can CRAM in more and more lights!
How do you handle the cords with the front door? I would LOVE to be able to hang it there!
Thanks – Kitty really likes to nest in it. The sooner I can get it on the wall, the better!
Thank you – Hubs is getting more and more of them (one each year) and it’s the highlight of the Xmas collection. How fun that evergreen sounds – you need those chunky old fashioned colored lights!
Me too – I couldn’t believe I hadn’t thought to get one. I think adding a sparkly bow and hanging it up will be super nice. Maybe I can change the accents on it, too!
It’s super fun. I love the colored lights. I needed a push in that direction!
I can’t help it. I see Halloween jack o lanterns and I start itching for Christmas music. Now I have to fight the urge until Thanksgiving!
I know, right?! She did it all by herself! She didn’t mind the lights at all – just another place to nest. We have a huge clock hanging there, now, but I think the switch for the holidays will be just fine!
Ok, I seriously need a prelit wreath! This would make life so much simpler!
Oh dear, I know what that’s like. Hope it gets better soon!
Two of my nephews had the tubes in their ears. One was a bit older (around 2 or 3) when he got his. It made a huge difference in his ability to speak because he was finally hearing sounds the correct way. I know his fell out at some point and he got a few more ear infections. Haven’t heard lately about any more problems. He’s 4 1/2 now.
I’m glad to hear that he had such success with them. I’m totally going to be ok with Red needing them, but there’s always that underlying nervousness that goes along with the surgery of tubes, ya know? Thank you for sharing your experience – it’s making me feel better!
thank you very much – here’s to hoping the antibiotics help!
Prelit wreaths are so easy to use especially if you find one that’s nice and full. I think we may use one of those this year.
I WANT a pre-lit wreath! This looks so fun!
I need like SIX of these. LOVE the cat picture – LOL!
Poor Red…if he has to get tubes, I hope that it helps and he doesn’t have to go through this anymore.
