Last week, I featured some very quick Mommy and Me shots at the beach, while I was enjoying some extended family time and sticking my toes in the sand. We’re finally back home, back to the grind and getting our fall further underway. And UGH, it’s been raining since we got back. It makes me really appreciate the few days of sun and salt air that we had last week! I have a few more photos of our trip, but honestly, I was much more enjoying the moment rather than taking pictures all week-long, and I kind of enjoyed the break before the storm that is October rolls in. (Two conferences, a baptism, football tailgates, family visits and more!)
This is the dense forest-thicket that separated the street from the beachside boardwalk. Isn’t it beautiful! Red claimed it was the Bramblywoods from his favorite book (affiliate: Octonauts and the Sea of Shade) and loved to walk back and forth from the house. It was always cool, shaded and very quiet in there.
Whenever I see a grasshopper, I always think of my Granny. When Scarlett and I were headed back to the beach house, I saw this little gal on the railing and stopped to take her photo. Granny was with us at the beach, too! 🙂
Nearly the entire Paris clan together on the boardwalk stairs. Missing are my brother-in-law and his daughter as well as my beloved Grandparents-in-law. I wish we could have all been together here at once. Does anyone know where I can rent a beach house next year that sleeps FIFTEEN people!?!
Were you able to take a family vacation this year? Tell me where you went!

I’m sure you can find one! It has to exist!
We didn’t do a family vacation this summer. I’m kinda bummed about it, but hoping we can fix it soon!

What a blessing to have that family vacation together! We went to the beach the first week of September with my sister, her husband and son plus my mother & brother. It was fun and a bit crazy with a 6 year old and 2 infants in the house! But everyone is talking about doing it again next year so I guess it was a win? 🙂
